PLAN Area
Teaching February 19, 2022
Dates & 1:00-2:00 Quarter 3
Time
Week No. Duration
3 Day 2
Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the objectives, necessary procedure must be followed and if needed,
additional lessons, exercises, remedial activities may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are assessed using Formative Assessment
I. OBJECTIVES strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content and competencies and enable children to find significance and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly
objectives shall be derived from the curriculum guide.
A. Content The learners demonstrate an understanding of waves as carriers of energy.
Standards
B. Performance The learners shall be able to conduct a forum on mitigation and disaster risk reduction.
Standards
1. The learners should be able to infer that waves carry energy (S7FE-IIIc-4)
C. Learning
Competency/ies
Write the LC Code for each.

1. Define waves;
2. Identify and describe the parts of a wave;
D. Learning
3. Explain how waves carry energy from one place to another.
Objectives
4. Demonstrate how waves carry energy from one place to another;

Content is what the lesson all about. It pertains to the subject matter the teacher aims to teach in the CG, the content can be tackled in a week or two.
II. CONTENT/TOPIC Nature of Wave (Wave in Motion)
III. LEARNING List the materials to be used in different days. Varied sources of materials sustain children’s interest in the lesson and learning. Ensure that there is a mix of
RESOURCES concrete and manipulative materials as well as paper-based materials. Hands-on learning promotes concept development.

These steps should be across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that students will learn well. Always be guided by demonstration of learning by
the students which you can infer from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing students with multiple ways to learn new things,

Grade & Section/Group: ____________________________

Learning Competency: The learners should be able to relate the characteristics of waves (S7FE-IIId6)

Unit 3 Module 1
OBJECTIVES:
1. Explain how waves transfer energy
2. Identify and describe the parts of a wave
MATERIAL:
2 m long rope

ACTIVITY 4c (LIFT ME UP AND DOWN)

Procedure:
1. Get a piece of a rope about 2 meters long. Fix one end of a rope by tying it around a post/rod.
2. Have a single disturbance in one end of the rope. What is formed? This time, move the same
end with series of disturbances. What did you observe?
3. Observe the medium used in this activity through which wave travels. Illustrate the waves and
identify the parts.

Guide Questions:
1. How do you generate waves in a rope? _______________________
2. Based from the activity, identify and describe the parts of a wave.___________________________
Motivation: Picture Analysis. We See Water waves

Video Analysis:

1. Does wave carry energy? YES

2. Cite examples of the effects of energy carried by the earthquake waves.

• Shaking/broken ground, shaking /collapsed buildings and posts.

ACTIVITY & PRESENTATION OF OUTPUT (present the criteria)

Based in your activity who can define Wave? Or what are waves? How does it transfer energy?

• Waves are disturbance or vibration which travel through a medium in which energy is transferred.

Using jumble letter posted on the board who can name the parts of wave

And who can Identify and describe the parts of wave using illustration on the board.

I will show a picture what do you see? Sunlight, About Photosynthesis, YES that’s right.

How did energy from sun reach plant for photosynthesis? Light waves carry energy from the sun reach the

earth and the plant.

Yes that’s right the whole process of photosynthesis is a transfer of energy from sun to a plant, with the

help of carbon dioxide and water. And the energy comes from sunlight to construct the sugar molecules

Examples of waves in the environment;

• Water waves (surfers enjoying while riding the waves, sight of waves washing ashore

• Sound waves (strumming guitar to play music/listen to the sounds of lapping water)

Based in your activity who can explain why the paper boat moved when water was disturbed?

• Because the disturbance of the water from waves. Waves carry energy that moved the paper

boat.
