Group Assignment
◼ Purpose:
▪ Connecting theory and practice
▪ So that you practice, learn, and remember

◼ What?
The goal of this assignment is to reflect on the current
environment, the rapid changes and the transition due to
COVID-19, and then to connect them to the content of the
course.

Assignment Steps
Step 1.

a) Choose one company to analyze in your network.


b) Decide which of these three HRM practices you will focus your analysis on:
1. Job design and redesign OR
2. Recruitment and selection OR
3. Performance management and compensation.
c) Do some pre-research on the practice and the company
d) Conduct semi-structured interviews and write up a transcript.
Step 2.

Describe the following:

1) Provide a short description of the company:


2) Provide a description of the changes in the company’s HR practice you chose. What
was it like before the pandemics? How did the company adapt/adjust the practice
over the past 1.5 years? What is the current situation? Did the company make any
plans for the near future?
SUBMISSION – HALF-WAY CHECK IN
Submit 26.09.2021 at 23:59.
Assignment Steps
Step 3.
Use your critical thinking and evaluate the HRM practices described in
the previous step.
Step 4.
Imagine you are a consultant, and you need to support the company
with your advice and a strategic plan.
Step 5.
Prepare a written report of 4000 words on all those aspects you
analyzed om Steps 1-4. Also, create a presentation (maximum 8
minutes, either a live presentation or a video) to illustrate your report.

Final submission- Submit on October 22 at 23:59.


Paper Requirements
Format requirements for the written report (and the
point weights):
1. Description of the company (10 points)
2. Description of the HR practice and the changes
(20 points)
3. Critical analysis of the HR practices (40 points)
4. Advice for the future (30 points)
