a) Top side to be cleaned with FW high pressure jet. The water jet must be applied at correct
pressure to ensure efficient cleaning.
b) To be sand blasted the rusted area.
c) To be applied two coats anti corrosive primer and two coat of ORANGE paint.
Previous anodes to be cropped out, removed and new anodes to be fitted and welded. Total
no of anodes: 10 kg – 118 nos.
6.5 kg – 20 nos.

Both the anchor with chain have to be disconnected from bitter end and have to clean and
de rusted. All the loose link stud have to weld, defected links/joining shackles should be
changed. Full chain of both the anchor should be calibrated and marked. Full chain of
both anchors to be gauged & inspected for wire and tear and marked. Good joining
shackles to be dismantled, chipped, scrapped, wire brushed and assembled back after
necessary painting. Chain locker should be efficiently cleaned, de rusted and painted by
two coats of primer followed by one coat of bituminous paint. Both cables to be changed
end to end. Finally both anchors to be connected back with the bitter ends.
06 MAIN DECK:
Main deck, Forecastle deck and poop deck suspected thinned and holed plates to be
renewed as per surveyor’s recommendations. Total deck area apprx. 2680.73 sq. mtrs.
Requires sand/grit blasting for surface preparation, thereafter two coats of anti corrosive
primer and two top coats to be applied.
a) All sea chest and strainers to be opened, cleaned, scrapped and mud to be removed.
b) Anodes in the sea chest and strainers to be renewed.
c) Sea chest to be painted with three coats of paints.
Draft marking fwd, amidships and aft both sides, plimsol mark on both side and ships
name in aft, fwd, port & stbd, port of registry & IMO number in stern area to be chipped,
scrapped, wire brushed, damaged numbers and alphabets to be renewed, to be coated
with two coats of primer followed by two finishing top coats.
09 GAUGING:
Suspected area of ships hull, fore castle deck, main deck, poop deck, steering flat deck,
including A-deck, B-deck, C-deck & Bridge deck walk ways & Bridge wings plates to
be U/T gauged, tank internals as well as deck plates thickness to be measured as per
inspection of BV surveyor by the ultrasonic thickness meter & to be repaired as required.
10 DRAIN PLUGS:
Drain plugs to be opened to drain out the water from Forepeak tank, all SBT tanks, later
plugs to be refitted, tightened and to be cemented.

Above sea chest grids if required to be repaired/renewed/fitted back with ship’s supplied
anodes.
Gauging of high sea chest box & necessary repair to be carried out accordingly.
Following valves to be overhauled, inspected, and fitted back after survey with required
packing, paints, and joints etc. to be pressure tested 07kg/cm2.

Both the main engines propeller shafts to be withdrawn as per requirement to renew stern
tube seal fwd and aft. Propellers shaft’s aft and fwd simplex compact seals to be checked,
liner and stuffing boxes condition to be specially examined, if require to be renewed.
Rope guard of port & stbd propeller defects to be rectified as necessary. Propeller blades
tips, if found corroded, to be build up , machined to size as per class surveyor suggestion
and satisfaction.Staging to be prepared as necessary.
15 RUDDER:
Following repairs to be carried out under the guidance of expert with both rudders:
a) Bushes, links, bolt of link system to be checked and renewed. Slide piece and link
bolt alignment to be checked and repaired.
b) Tail fin supporting bushes (top, middle and bottom) and supports to be checked and
renewed.
c) Rudder hinge bushes, washers, teflon supports etc. to be checked and renewed as
required.
d) Both the rudder to be gauged repaired and pressure tested in presence of surveyor
and ship staff.
e) Balancing of both rudder to be checked & necessary repair to be carried out as per
requirement.
f) Staging to be prepared as necessary.

Electric shore supply to be arranged 24 hrs a day till undocking with 440v 50Hz, ac
supply of 3 phase characteristics.

Sea Water supply to the following to be arranged continuously:
(1) To ship’s main fire line with sufficient pressure.
(2) To ship’s main air conditioning system.
(3) To ship’s domestic fridge system and control room a/c system.

Adequate fire petrol to be maintained throughout the whole ship while on dock till vessel
leaves the dock.

20 CARGO LINE, FIRE LINE, FOAM LINE & BUTTER WORTH LINE:
(1) All Cargo lines, Fire line, Foam Line and Butterworth line pressure test to be carried
out, Flange to Flange joining connections to be checked & tested pressure to be marked
on Line.
(2) Fire line holed and decayed, clamps broken, supporting beam thinned & holed in
several places, to be repaired.
(3) Butterworth line holed, decayed and clamps broken, supporting beams damaged in
several places, to be repaired.
(4) Foam line holed and decayed, clamps broken, supporting beams damaged in several
places, foam line to be renewed.

(3) During operation of hose crane making sound, hose crane pumps & filter to be
overhauled for smooth operation.
(1) Fwd and aft fenders crutch thinned and holed in several places, to be cropped and
renewed.
(2) Forecastle overboard side fixed rubber fender broken in several places, to be renewed.
(3) All fenders chain, shackles, tires and sleeves to be checked, and repaired/renewed as
necessary.
(1) Fwd & AFT both side gunwales holed in several places, to be repaired.
(2) Forecastle port side gunwale (near panama lead) broken, to be repaired.
(4) Ship’s side rail both side broke, damaged & de-formed in several places, to be repaired
& renewed.
(6) Main deck fish plate both side decayed & broken in several places, to be repaired.
(7) Near gangway port and stbd scupper line holed in several places, to be repaired.
(9) Deck plates on steering platform and adjacent areas to be cropped and renewed. Deck
plates (crew deck) near CCR to be cropped and renewed.
(10) Total 02 nos panama lead thinned and holed due to long aging, same to be cropped and
renewed.

(1) Fwd and aft mooring winch hydraulic lines leaking in several places, to be repaired.
(2) Port & stbd windlass brake shoe are in bad condition, to be changed.
(3)Aft 02 nos mooring bitts and 04 nos bitts eye decayed and broken, to be renewed/
repaired as necessary.
(4) During anchor washing sea water leaking from hose pipe, same to be cropped and
renewed.
(1) Accommodation a, b,c deck aft bulkhead holed in several places, to be cropped and
renewed.
(2) W/shop room stbd side bulkhead holed in several places, to be repaired.
(6) A- deck, b-deck, c-deck and bridge deck scupper, scupper box and scupper line
damaged and broken in several places, to be repaired/renewed as necessary.
(7) Several officers and crew cabin water draining from upper roof, to be rectified.
(9) 12 nos sofa, 02 nos pilot chair cover & foam to be renewed
(10) Mob lifeboat stand damaged, to be cropped and renewed.

(12) Port and stbd side gyro repeater base damaged, to be renewed.
(13) A,b,c & bridge deck fashion plate thinned and holed, to be cropped and renewed.
(14) Monkey island light mast damaged in several places, to be cropped & renewed as
required.
(15) Total 05 nos cabin bedroom flooding from adjacent wash room, to be rectified.
26 PUMP ROOM:
(1) 06 nos cargo and ballast pump lifting eye to be fitted inside pump room.
(2) Pump room platform gratings platform angle bar decayed & broken in several places, not
safe for personnel working inside pump room, to be repaired.
(3) All the non-return v/v inside p/p room to be checked, replaced/renewed as required. All
flanges to be checked and gaskets to be renewed as required. Several cargo v/v
leaking/not closing properly, to be repaired/renewed.
(4) Hydraulic oil leaking from the v/v controlling knobs in CCR, to be repaired.
(5) Pump room continuous hydrocarbon gas detector is out of order, to be rectified.
(1) Both life boat davit base decayed in several places, life boat gratings broken, to be
repaired/replaced as required.
(2) Port side searchlight is out of order, same to be repaired. Stbd side searchlight is in
very bad condition, need to be replaced.
