GENERAL ASSESMENT
Apple has been chastised in the past for forcing the obsolescence of certain gadgets. Because older Apple devices,
such as the iPhone 6, are unable to update their operating systems (OS), users of older Apple devices, such as the iPhone 6,
are forced to upgrade to newer models. Many consumers report switching to a new iPhone when their old one can no
longer run the latest versions of iOS, despite the fact that it is still functional. This is mostly due to the fact that over a
period of time, many users complain that applications that are essential to their daily lives cease to function without the
latest version of iOS, which they are unable to obtain. Furthermore, unlike Microsoft, which is actively investigating right-
to-repair frameworks, Apple has persistently opposed the right-to-repair movement in the United States. The right to
repair movement refers to legislation that would oblige tech companies to make parts, tools, or diagnostic procedures
available for third-party repair of their equipment. According to YouGov, 53% of mobile phone users do not get their
devices fixed due to the high expense of maintenance. As a result, most iPhone users only have two choices: pay for
monthly AppleCare memberships or pay high costs at approved repair shops. Users frequently claim that purchasing a new
iPhone rather than paying for repair alternatives is far more cost-effective.

RECOMMENDATION
Apple should continue with its commitment in the environment whereas, Apple's global operations, including shops, offices, and data
centers, have been powered entirely by renewable energy since 2018. Following this achievement, Apple announced a new
commitment to make its supply chain and products carbon-neutral by 2030. Apple devised a 10-year plan to achieve this, with the
goal of reducing carbon emissions. This road plan involves, among other things, redesigning products to use recycled materials,
becoming more energy-efficient, adopting process improvements, and practicing carbon removal. Apple discloses numerous key
steps it has already taken toward its goal of net-zero carbon impact by 2030 in its 2021 Environmental Progress Report. The report,
which is divided into three sections, discusses the organization's varied activities in climate change, resources, and creative
technologies. Apple developed an Impact Accelerator as part of their $100 million Racial Equity and Justice Initiative. The accelerator
not only improves its supply chain by investing in minority-owned firms, but it also supports areas that are most vulnerable to
environmental threats. Apple has worked with over a hundred suppliers that have made the pledge to use 100 percent renewable
energy in their operations. In reality, with the release of the iPhone 13 models, some of the most important modifications can be
