1. The Departanent of Education (DepEd), through the Bureau of Learner


Support Sewices-School Health Division (BLSS-SHD) issues this Supplenental
Guldellaer on the Implementatlon of the School-Based Feediag Program
(SBFP) using Fiscal Year lFUl 2022 Funds to ensure that its target bene{iciarie s will
still be covered despite the huge decrease in the budget allocation from 6 Billion
Pesos to 2.3 Billion Pesos.

2. For School Year (SY) 2O2l-2O22 using FY 2O22 funds, this supplemental
guidelines on the specific provisions of DepEd Order (DO) No. 031, s.2O2l shall be
followed:

a. Eection II, Scope aad Coverage


i. On A.2 Primary Benefrciaries
(I) The SBFP's primary benefrciaries shall be the same
beneficiaries in SY 2021-2022 using fY 2021 Funds (all
Kindergarten learners and SW and W in Grades I to 6
learners).
ii. On B. Duration
0 The number of feeding days shall be 3O days for
Nutritious Food Products (NFP) and 16 days for
Pasteurizcd/ Sterilized Milk Packs [PM/SMP) and the
suggested implementation period is within April to July of
SY 2O2l-2O22 both for the NFP arld milk components.
Thus, the number of feeding days for SY 2021-2022
using FYs 2O2l and,2O22 Funds is 9O days for NFP and
49 days for Milk for a total of 139 da5rs.

(I) Nutritional assessment may be conducted in May-June
2022 ta establish the nutritional status of the beneficiaries
at the end of the feeding period subject to the issuance ofa
memorandum depending on tlle community quaraltine
status by then.

3. The following documents are enclosed for reference:

a. Enclosure No. I - Revised Technical Specilications for Nutritious


Food Products, and
b. Enclosure No. 2 - Breakdown of Allocation for Fiscal Yea.r 2022

4. All other provisions in the existing guidelines on tlre DO 031, s. 2O21


(Operational Guidelines on the Implementation of the School-Based Feeding
Program) shall remain in force, unless sooner repealed, amended, or rescinded.

5. Regional directors, schools divisions superintendents, and school heads are


enjoined to extend ful1 administrative support to the implementation of the SBFP.

6. This Order shall ta-ke effect upon its approval. Its certified copies will be filed
with the Universit5r of the Philippines law Center-Offrce of t}te Administrative
Register (UP LC-ONAR), UP Diliman, Quezon City.
