Thehonorable teacher,

The respectable friends who are happy

Firstly, let’s thank to Allah SWT the master of universe who has been giving us mercies and
blessing until we can take a part and also smile on this lesson without any troubles and obstacles
in this happy and peaceful place

Secondly, my sholawat and salutation must be upon to our lovely prophet, he is Muhammad
SAW who has guided us from the darkness to the lightness, from the stupidity era to the
cleverness era with a hope we will get his help in the day later fiddunya wal akhiroh, amien.

Thirdly, I’ll never forget to say thanks to MC who has given me opportunity to deliver my
speech in front of audiences.

Standing in front of you all, I’d like to present my speech under the title “Realizing a young
generation who are smart, healthy and have character”

Ladies and gentlemen, blessed by allah….

As we know, that in this day and age western culture has entered many even influences, wether
trought television, internet, fashion style, and ect. If the influence is positive, than it will be very
good. But what if the influence is actually negative? Of course it has the potential to damafge the
personality of muslims, especially us a young generation.

The youger generation has now fallen into lot of promiscuity that not only damages itself, but
also destroys others. Lets see… there are many young people out there who are negatively
affected by westerm culture. Some of them are in tight clothes, fighting, even adultery.
Na’udzubillah…. In fact, Allah Swt. Has been said surah Al-Baqarah verse 195,

َ‫َواَل تُ ْلقُوْ ا بِا َ ْي ِد ْي ُك ْم اِلَى التَّ ْهلُ َك ِة ۛ َواَحْ ِسنُوْ ا ۛ ِا َّن هّٰللا َ يُ ِحبُّ ْال ُمحْ ِسنِ ْين‬

That means:

“And do not throw (yourself) into destruction with your own hands, and do good. Indeed, Allah
loves those who do good”

Such conditions occur because many young people today are no longer guided by religion.
Maybe even very little understanding of the science of regilion. Most of them do something just
because they just joined in. whereas religion is a way of life in life. Therefore friends, this is
where is important for use to be an intelligent your generation. So what is the intelligent young
generation like? Anyone knows? The intelligent young generation is able to distinguish the good
and the bad things. Which is not just smart, but also wise in applying their knowledge
approprialety.

If we look at the other side of the influence of western culture, than our hearts will be even more
sa to see it. Why? Because not a few young people toay who get drunk, use drugs such as
cannabis, methamphetamine, ect. Even though the prohibition of Allah to get drunk and consume
alcohol is very clear in the Al-Quran. Really, there is no goodness from the act, there is only self
damage especially their health. How do we want to lead the Ummah if we are sick? Moreover sai
Rasulullah, health is one of the important favors. Rasulullah Saw. Said,

ُ ‫ص َّحةُ َو ْالفَ َرا‬

‫غ‬ ِّ ‫ ال‬، ‫اس‬ ٌ ‫َان َم ْغب‬
ِ َّ‫ُون فِي ِه َما َكثِي ٌر ِمنَ الن‬ ِ ‫نِ ْع َمت‬

"There are two pleasures that many people are deceived, namely the pleasure of health and
leisure." (Hadith by Al-Bukhari)”

In addition, as the younger generation is the reluctant of the future, we should behave in
accordance with the religious guidance. Rasulullah Saw. Say,

‫َأ ْك َم ُل ْال ُمْؤ ِمنِ ْينَ ِإ ْي َمانًا َأحْ َسنُهُ ْم ُخلُقًا‬

"The most perfect believer in faith is the best in character"(Hadits At-Tirmidzi )

That is, bad charcter in person shows that is getting away from religion. At present there are
many young people whose morals are not good. If called parent don not immediately answer, but
only busy with the gadget. Advised a bit by the teacher, immediately poute. Again taking the
rain, for example, you can sit while an older mother arrives not getting a seat. You immediately
pretend to be sleeping so you are not told to stand up. So…. Has anyone ever been like that?

Ladies and gentlemen, blessed by allah….

The portrait of various young people who a had been was certainly not what was expected by the
Indonesian people. Than what kind of young generadtion is ecpected? It is a generation of young
people who are intelligent, healthy and have good character. So to realize this generation of
diamons, tere are a number of things we can work on.

 The first si to study and practice. To be intelligent, of course we must have the
knowledge first, espscially the most important is the sience of religion
 The second is maintaining health. Eat and drink anything that is good and halal for us an
don’t overdo.
 Third, multiply gather with pious people. Because se eing his face will remind us of
Allah.
 Fourth, increase positive activities. Instead of spending a lot of time in front og gadget
get busy taking part in studies, teaching the Al-Quran and ect.
  An finally of course we always keep our hearts connected to Allah Swt. So that we can be
facilitated and able to be atiqomah to become a intelligent, healthy and moral young
generation.

Well ladies and gentlemen, I think my speech in front of you is enough. I beg your pardon if
there are many faults when I deliver my speech that is not good as your hope. Thanks for your
