1. Tepid (adj.) -a. - गुनगुना (especially of a liquid) only slightly warm; lukewarm

3. Expedite (Verb) – शीघ्र - make (an action or process) happen sooner or be
accomplished more quickly -
Example
1) He promised to expedite economic reforms.
2) Something needs to be done to expedite the process.
Example-
1) They were promised dispensation from military service.
2) A special dispensation may be obtained from the domestic union
concerned.
Example-
1) Without the founder's drive and direction, the company gradually
languished.

1) He has been languishing in jail for the past 20 years.

6. Amnesty (Noun) - अपराध-क्षमा, a situation in which a government agrees
not to punish, or to no longer punish, people who have committed a
particular crime
Example-
1) The government has announced an immediate amnesty for rebel fighters
7. Subvert (verb) –a. भ्रष्ट करना- undermine the power and authority of (an
established system or institution).
Example-
1) That they cannot subvert the very system of justice we are rightly so
proud of.
2) This government will not allow anyone to subvert the law.
Synonyms- bring down, destabilize, depose, unseat, ruin, sabotage,
contaminate, distort, destroy, annihilate, vitiate.
Hint- can be remembered with help of root word: sub (below, down) +
vert (to turn). and downfall of something subvert.

9. Concede (Verb) – a. स्िीकार करना - admit or agree that something is true
after first denying or resisting it
Example
1) I had to concede that I'd overreacted
2) The government has conceded (that) the new tax policy has been a
disaster.
Example-
1) She conceded even before all the votes had been counted.
2) He kept on arguing and wouldn't concede defeat.
c. अधिकार प्रिान करना -To allow somebody to take something although you
do not want to -
Example –
1) They lost the war and had to concede territory to their enemy.
2) Britain conceded (= allowed) independence to India in 1947.
Example-
1) Her letters conflate past and present.
2) She conflated the three plays to produce a fresh new work.
