What I Can Do

1. As the pandemic has pressed on, people have found innovative ways to come together.
There have been dances of gratitude, dances with masks, dances that connect, as a
way of encouraging people to dance their blues away. To most, dance is a form of
expression and art. However, what most people do not know, is that it also connects
people as it works as a social tool. Dance heals and can serve as a form of meditation.
People partake in social dancing classes to learn a new skill, but what they unknowingly get out
of these dance classes is a lot more than that. They learn how to be comfortable in their own
skin. And what's better for that than starting within the four walls of your room during the
lockdown, where you can be yourself — wholly and completely — and then get comfortable
doing the same around others. Pandemic lockdowns might be pervasive, but not all our
movements are restricted. This has led to a rise in dance, as people seek fitness, stress relief,
healing—and connection.
2. perform a proper warm-up before any type of physical activity. The purpose of a
warm-up is to prevent injury by increasing the body's core and muscle
temperature. Warm muscles increase the rate of energy production which
increases reflexes and lowers the time it takes to contract a muscle.
