Describing the picture, I can see a person modeling a bag in the middle of the savanna biome.

I
think that the person’s nationality is somewhere in African Continent. I will assume that this
person is a she. Moreover, talking about her expression I think that she feels hot and annoyed
at the same time uninterested in the bag that she’s holding.
Upon my first sight of the picture my brain automatically reacts negatively and judges the person
in the photo. Trying hard wannabe model and Social Media climber or attention seeker. It is
written in the photo that the bag cost 32 euros. It is also indicated in the picture that 4 euros can
provide a week of food necessities. Therefore, why would a person choose to spend a lot of
money good for 8 weeks just for a designer’s bag? As a natural man, I find my reaction normal
and I am confident that people would react the same. Nowadays there is a typical stereotyping
among Africans. They are poor and some people believe that Africa is always experiencing
Famine. Thus, I believe that this stereotypical mindset would affect how should the image is
represented. Despite the fact that there are other possible representations such as how African
models can be perfect models for the designers’ bags not only those white Americans, there’s a
high possibility that negative reviews and comments will dominate. Comments like our most
typical racism approach like “She’s black and poor, why did she model that bag?” “I feel bad for
the product, no one will buy it”.
Looking at the picture deeply, I think this is a charity photo that makes people realize how much
money people spend on things that they could possibly lend for some purposes. For example,
instead of buying a 50$ bag why not donate the money you wanted to spend to a bag to a
charity that will help children or families that starves?
In conclusion, a single image has the power to make people think. An image could be this or
that. Even though it only speaks a certain message, some people will always think out of the
box. Their mind is so playful that they could think differently in either good or bad ways.
