COMMENTS: Planning, Instruction, Assessment of Student Understanding

Miss Madigan:

I had an opportunity to chat with Mr. K. to discuss your progress. Both of us are in agreement. Your preparation and
dedication are impressive. You couple this with solid mathematical content knowledge. The creativity combined with
your daily instructional structure will take you precisely where you need to be in the classroom. Specifically, here is
what Mr. K. mentioned in our mid term conference:

Madigan is off to a great start. She has to be one of the most organized teachers that I've ever worked with!
Organization goes a long way, especially when you are teaching multiple classes like many high school teachers
traditionally do. Not only is Madigan very organized, but she is also extremely hard working. As her college
supervisor mentioned, many lessons will only be effective if the teacher puts the correct amount of prep time into
them. Madigan is always willing to put the extra work in, make detailed notes within her lessons, and ask for my
assistance if she is not sure about something. Exit tickets have been a great addition to the classroom. It really
allows us to focus in on what students know and what they are struggling with. They also help keep students
engaged for those last few minutes of class, with can be tough to manage!

We’re looking forward to your success and progress following the February break- continue to make us
proud!
