PROS AND CONS OF MODULAR LEARNING SYSTEM IN HIGHSCHOOL STUDENTS IN

GULANG-GULANG NATIONAL HIGHSCHOOL

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

RESEARCH DESIGN:

This study focused on determining the pros and cons of modular learning system in the students
of Gulang-Gulang National High school. It aims to find the impact of Modular learning system to
the students and to identify what weighs more on the pros and cons of Modular learning system.
It aimed at gaining the student’s perception about the Modular learning system and to ask for
their opinions about the said study. The study uses an Online survey/questionnaire to gather the
needed data. The researcher will analyze and interpret the data needed based on the
questionnaire that the respondents have answered.

POPULATION AND SAMPLE:

The Researcher decided to have 5 random respondents from Grade 7- Grade 10 students of
Gulang Gulang National High school, for the total of 20 respondents. Every respondent should
be at least 12-16 years old. Stratified Sampling was done by the Researcher in the study.

INSTRUMENT:

The instrument applied in the study is the Online Questionnaire/Survey prepared by the
Researcher. It will help Researcher collect the needed data by giving the opinions and
perception by the respondents in the survey.

VALIDATION PROCEDURE:

To validate the instrument, the Researcher asked 2 experts to rate the questionnaire made by
the Researcher. A rating sheet was provided by the Researcher to the 2 experts. It was then
rated as “relevant to the study” and gave the Researcher the approval to use the questionnaire
in the study.
 DATA GATHERING PROCEDURE:

The Researcher comes up with the title that is relevant to some issues right now. The
Researcher made an Online Survey that then approved by the 2 experts. The Researcher then
sends the link of the Online Survey in the 20 high school respondents in Gulang- Gulang
National Highschool. The questions were composed of 8 questions that will answer the
questions of the study. It will help the Researcher to interpret the needed data.

The Researcher also assured that their answer will only be kept by the Researcher, the
Researcher ensured the respondent’s confidentiality. After the survey, the Researcher studied
and organized the collected data that’s been gathered in the Online survey.

TREATMENT OF DATA:

The Researcher analyzed and interpreted the gathered data from the Online Survey answered
by the 20 high school respondents of Gulang-Gulang National Highschool. It was proved that
most of the students would picked Modular Learning system rather than Online class. The data
also shows that Pros weighs more than Cons, meaning that there is more Pros on having
Modular Learning system than its Cons.
