Think Critically!

Describe how the increased use of holistic practices could have a positive effect on cost and consumer
satisfaction.

Holistic health is concerned with the entire individual. Taking care of their biological,
psychological, moral, and social needs. It is based on the idea that all of these factors have an impact on
our overall health. Holistic care professionals treat a wide range of wellness issues and employ a wide
range of clinically validated treatments. Put bluntly, instead of curing the pain, they will treat the
individual by employing all available instruments.

Holistic practices provide us with the knowledge and incentive to make better decisions. Rather
than recommending a lengthy list of behavioral adjustments, they engage the patient in the discussion and
assist them in determining which changes will have the biggest impact on their well-being. They assist us
in establishing wellness objectives and then give us with resources.

While a holistic, preemptive approach to health care has been shown to be clinically efficient, it
has also been shown to be cost-efficient. This method typically results in a patient taking fewer
medications and having less invasive therapy. While "substitute" treatment is sometimes regarded
negatively, the fact is that a holistic approach frequently implies that there is an option available to
operations and conventional treatments with severe side effects.
