culminating in self-actualization
A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace
with himself
So this quote simply means self actualization or the desire for self-fulfillment. Yung sabi po ditto sa
quote na he is to ultimately at peace with himself
na iimproved mo pa yung skills mo and then by doing so, it leads to appreciation for life
So konting review muna tayo sa Philippine history during American colonial times
The 1896 Philippine Revolution paved the way to the country's independence from Spain.
yung pilipinas.
Tumagal ng 48 years yung pananakop ng amerika, from cession of the Philippines to the U.S. by Spain in
1898 to U.S. recognition of Philippine independence in 1946. Again that’s
Since may bagong mananakop, nagbago din po yung art patronage, So what do we mean by art
patronage? this is a person who pays for or commissions works of art. Kumbaga sila yung cliyente, sila
tourists saka foreign investors mas gusto nila yung subject ng art ay landscapes, still life, and genre
themes that show the beauty of the land and its people. Kaya po mapapansin natin yung arts produced
during American colonization ay puro depiction ng landscapes.
Aside from that, portraits were still favored by the public officials, and depicting them in dignified poses.
American Colonization brought high influence to our country, tulad nung English diba naging second
po sa major Filipino art forms: yung architecture, paintings and sculptures which will then be elaborated
later.
