2 women rescued from nightspot in Tarlac

CAMP Francisco S. Macabulos, Tarlac City – Police rescued two women and
arrested their alleged pimp in a bar in Barangay San Manuel, Tarlac on Friday, Sept.
30.

Lt. Michael Millante, San Manuel police officer-in-charge, identified the suspect as
Joren dela Peña, 22.

Suspect, who also works as a cashier, was arrested after transacting sexual activity
and receiving P10,500 from a poseur-client as payment for one of the women at
Kahit Sandali (KS) Bar at about 12:10 a.m.

Recovered from Dela Pena was the boodle money.

Suspect and victims told police that an alias “Dante Dagdag” and his live-in partner
Jonalyn Dela Peña are the owners of the nightspot.

I. News Summary

Joren dela Peña, works as a cashier and alleged pimp in a bar of


rescued two women was arrested by the Tarlac Police after transacting

one of the women at Kahit Sandali (KS) Bar in Barangay San Manuel,
Tarlac on Friday, Sept. 30. about 12:10 a.m.

II. Assessment

As stated the news, suspect and victims told police that an alias
“Dante Dagdag” and his live-in partner Jonalyn Dela Peña are the owners
of the nightspot. The couple was not around during the operation. With
the collected evidence the suspects will be facing charges in violation of
Republic Act No. 11862 or Expanded Anti-Trafficking Persons Act of 2022
and were placed under the custody of the operating unit while pertinent
documents are being prepared for presentation during inquest
proceedings.

III. Recommendation

I therefore recommend that the PNP should strengthen the process of


their surveillance and operations in areas of possible pimping among
women, especially the youth. Further, the PNP shall release public
information related to youth awareness of the adverse effects of human
trafficking to solve and prevent because everyone wants safety especially
women.
