Create General Maintenance Task list IA05

Purpose
Use this procedure to create General Maintenance Task list.

Trigger
Perform this procedure when you want to create a General Maintenance Task list.

Prerequisites
 All the details related to Maintenance Task list like Planning Plant, Work Centers, Planner Groups and
Strategy should be created/ configured before doing this transaction.
 The user should be familiar with all the terminology related to Task lists like Group, Group Counter,
Strategy etc.

Helpful Hints
 IA05 is the SAP transaction code for creating a General Maintenance Task list.
 General maintenance task lists are task lists that are used for general maintenance tasks. They do not
refer to a specific technical object. Using general maintenance task lists, you can define and manage
sequences of maintenance tasks centrally, and use them for work scheduling.
 Field values can be queried using the F4 help wherever available. This can be done either by placing
the cursor in the field and pressing F4, or by clicking on the match code that appears next to the
field.

 You can click on a field and press F1 to view the Field help. This allows you to understand the field and
decide what contents should be entered.

Procedure

Create General Maintenance Task list

 Enter the T-Code IA05 and click on icon to create General Maintenance Task list.

 You can also double click on the menu “Create” as highlighted in the below screenshot to create
General Maintenance task list.

 Enter the group name for task list “GT1” and click on the enter icon as marked in the
above screen.

Status You use the status key to indicate 3
