Rhody Reading Attitude Assessment

As we completed the Rhody Attitude Assessment, Student B seemed as though he was

trying to answer with the ‘correct answer’. On question seven, “You love to read.” he answered,

“Strongly Agree” but answered “Agree” for question thirteen, “You think reading is boring.” I

explained that it does not make sense to agree that reading is boring if you love to read. I

reminded him throughout the assessment that I want him to answer honestly and that there are no

right or wrong answers. Student B then changed his answer to “Strongly Disagree” for number

seven, “I love to read”. His answers seemed mildly inconsistent throughout. Student B seems to

enjoy reading more when he is reading about something that is interesting to him. If he likes a

book, he does like sharing it with a friend or teacher but ordinarily, reading does not excite him.
