Part A

The images below show a series of events. Write sentences in past continuous or
past simple.

Part B

Think about when you were 12 years old. Write three paragraphs about the things
that you used to do, you used to like or used to hate and explain why. You have
some ideas in the box.
I used to be a rebel.
I used to be lazy.
I used to work hard.
I used to like all the teachers.
I used to play a lot of video
games.
I used to wear a uniform.
I used to hate vegetables.
I used to have longer hair.
I used to play football.
I used to wear glasses.

When I was 12, I was in 7th grade and I used to wear a uniform, as always. I used
to be lazy so when it was the time to woke up, I always slept ‘5 more minutes’;
sometimes that 5 minutes turned like 20 minutes and that´s why I used to be late
at the porter´s lodge for when the bus had already arrived there. On the way
home I used to fall asleep on my sit and when I arrived at my house, I was pretty
angry, because I wanted to stay there on my sit asleep but the instructor had to
wake me up so I could get out.
I used to hate vegetables, also the seaweed but my mother didn´t care about it
because for her, I had to eat all in the dish, even if I didn´t like; I couldn´t get up
from the dining room until I left it empty.
At that age, I was part of the school marching band, so I used to stay at the
school for 3 hours after the normal journey every Thursday and Tuesday.
Because I live far from that place, I had to eat the food of the school cafeteria,
thing that I used to hate too, It was so bad, the worst part of the day…
On weekends, I remember I always used to go out and skate along the whole
cycle path with my sister and my parents. I used to be very shy and I didn´t have
many friends, the only one was Maria Camila, with her, we used to like
videogames and we passed hours and hours playing in her computer or
sometimes in mine. We also used to pitch a tent over the grass zone in our
residential and we played camp.
