Usability Test Plan

The Usability Tests for the Quick x Assistance App Prototype 1.0. will be held by me, Sören
Hädelt, with participants from my network.

BACKGROUND

I´ll test the Quick x Assistance App Prototype 1.0. to measure its success in solving the problem
of my user personas Max & Nora. A lot of their needs & goals are of an interpersonal nature
between the expert and them. The main motivation for both of them is that they want to get help
by a professional to face their problem and tackle their main goal: get their problem xed. For that
I implemented the search bar on the home screen and the navigation bar to move quick in the
app. We will test how the participants move within the app and how quick they will be able to do
it. That will happen without the search bar function, as their is technical work to do before it will
be usable.

GOAL

The de ned goal is that the user will be able to contact an expert in under 5 minutes from the
moment of opening the application. In that time he/she should also be able to navigate through
the app and compare di erent experts to nd one that they want to contact. To not pressure the
participants or distort the results I will not tell the participants that I will measure their needed
time.

TEST OBJECTIVES

• How easy does the user nd the categories feature after the Onboarding Screens?

• First Message by Expert -> What does a rst message by the expert in the chat box to the
users?

• Do the users use the favorite option to compare their expert options & do they nd their
favorite list ?

METHODOLOGY

Moderated In-Person test sessions

PARTICIPANTS

I will recruit my participants through my network. Because of my location, Berlin, I can get
participants with multiple backgrounds.

SCHEDULE

The tests will happen between the 7th of October and the 10th of October. The in-person sessions
will be located somewhere in Berlin.

SESSIONS

I will try to keep the test under 15 minutes, as the app should be also fast to use.

EQUIPMENT

As the Quick x Assistance App should be helpful to x the users problem asap, the mostly used
device will be expected as the mobile phone. So that will be the device I will test. I want to record
an audio, so I will use the testphone that is recording the screen for that. That is especially
needed, as I will not want to let my participants know that their needed time is measured, so I can
not stop their needed time in front of them.

METRICS

• I will use Nielsen’s scale to de ne the severity of errors that occur

• To compare the participants time to accomplish a task I will measure their needed time

• I will also implement a quick questionnaire at the end, where I will ask how easy &
satisfying their experience was
