Recommendations or Suggestions for improvement

Some minor changes can be applied once the issue is raised. I’m personally just fine with
the content posted on board, just some few changes regarding some issues i.e. political, since
they should focus on criticizing in hopes of making change by having a stand. That would allow
the spectators to react and somehow be informed in case they’re having difficulty with the
situation. As it serves as a guide, and there could be a critical response that is needed to
promote awareness, and engagement to the reality on society today.

ANALYZE
1. What do you think was the purpose of the board display?

The motivation behind the presentation board in that setting is to grab the watcher's
eye and make sense of what was performed and what was realized. Outside school,
display boards are used for business trade shows, marketing, genealogy, life
celebrations, arts and crafts, and memorials.

2. Did the board display design reflect the likes/interests of its target audience? Why?
Why not?

The displays are reflective of the organization (the people behind) as they can
emotionally appeal to the target, which is the students. Yes, there are board design
reflect the likes/interest of the audience. Because the draft fits in to the board wherein
the content is all about the achievements of the students.

3. Was the language used clear and simple for the target audience to understand? Why?
Why not?

Yes, as they should. To easily relay what message they’re trying to convey to their
target audience. To have people in mind in making the content to be posted not only
help relieve the burden of a high number of people but also tends to increase the
number of interested onlookers. In order to gain number of followers in times of new
publications, and other things such as hiring new writers, etc.

4. Was the board display effective? Why? Why not?

Yes. Since it sends and receives messages to the public in the proper manner.
Furthermore, one could tell if a board presentation is functional if it has the
characteristics of a good exhibition, such as attractiveness, balance, unity, and so on.

5. What suggestions can you make?

In creating display boards, the colors must have harmony amongst each other and
does not clash, I suggest using calming colors that creates positivity like blue, green,
yellow and pink. In regards with the information printed, it must be precise, accurate
and straight to the point and if possible put illustrations or pictures related to it to
enhance the attention of the audience.

Based on your suggestions, propose an enhanced version of the display board. Use
the form below.

My Proposed Board Display

Theme:

Information Literacy: How to fight Fake/False News

Board Title:

‘Educate, not humiliate’: Fighting back false information & historical distortion

Rationale: (Purpose)

In our age of fake news, misinformation (false information that is spread, regardless whether
or not there is intent to mislead), disinformation (deliberately misleading, manipulative, or
biased information, narrative, or facts), malicious audio, video, or image disinformation

immediately and be more critical on the things read online.

Understand the role as a student who fights false information circulating online, breaking the
stigma and promoting awareness.

Best features of my proposed bulletin enhancement:

Essays that involves how history can be manipulated and how people should be critical
enough not to digest the fake information received.
Photos of historical events explaining the truth behind the still pictures.
Facts versus opinion catalog.
Serious tone and color usage to maximize the experience of the readers.

REFLECT

1. Name at least five skills that a teacher should have to be able to come up with effective board
displays. Elaborate on why each skill is needed.
Innovative - A teacher should be able to develop a fresh and distinctive display show.
An innovative teacher can demonstrate how to turn his or her thoughts becomes
something fresh in this manner.

Imaginative - Imaginative teachers understand how to execute things from concept to life. When
you are able to make up an entire fantasy dream world to entertain yourself and you can get lost in
your own creative ideas, this is an example of being an imaginative person.

Resourcefulness - A person’s ability to find efficient and innovative ways to overcome

challenges. Being resourceful also involves optimizing your resources to make something new or
better. This ability to adapt and solve problems creatively.

Organized - Knows how to arrange, organize, compare, contrast and grouping the content.
Organization skills are those related to creating structure and order, boosting productivity, and
prioritizing tasks that must be completed immediately, versus those that can be postponed,
delegated to another person, or eliminated altogether. Maintaining strong organizational skills can
reduce the chance of developing poor work habits.

Strategic. Before doing something, a person must understand beforehand what

plan as well as how to plan. Strategic thinking is a mental or thinking process applied by an
individual in the context of achieving a goal or set of goals.

2. Which of the skills you named in # 1 do you already have? Recall your past experiences in making
board displays. How do you practice these skills?

I’m very organized, I tend to get easily stressed when things are not in order, so I try to organize
first in order to do my work fast and easy. My experience in putting content for the bulletin board, I
gathered information regarding the current events in school, local, and international news that
would somehow benefit the readers. Then, I make a list of contents necessary and filter them
down from least to prior.

Theme is very important to the target audience, how they respond or make their feedback
regarding the content and style. Organizational skill is the ability of an individual to make use of
their time, energy and resources available in an effective manner to achieve their goal. Efficiency
is a skill that develops over time, so I try to be better by simple practicing over and over. Learning
never stops there, as I grow to become the best version I’m building since day one, a lot of things
that I’ve never experienced will try to make my perception in things different, and that what makes
it beautiful being able to see different views in life.

3. Which skills do you still need to develop? What concrete steps will you take on how you can
improve on or acquire these skills.

I need to develop my skill in strategizing my next move and future plans in order to see a glimpse
of what is there to expect or to anticipate. Strategic thinking is an ability to plan for the future. It’s
the capacity to prepare strategies and conjure ideas that will both cope with changing
environments and consider the various challenges that lie ahead. This skill is crucial in times like
this, that requires demand and a lot of energy.

The concrete steps to improve this skill by committing to constant learning and self-improvement,
the spirit of being able to prepare for the future and make constant improvements, strategic
thinkers welcome feedback and advice from others. Being open to criticism is one way of being in
ground, but also being humble as we move along the way of achievements and some downfalls
we’re ready to face. It’s like having this mindset that allows you to make things work, how to make
it better, to make an exception on things that we can’t control.
