Write a little about how the experience of getting peer feedback could have been
improved by the person delivering it? Think about the questions above if this helps.
(Minimum 200+ words)
Personally, I feel like there could have been more communication HOWEVER I personally
believe that it is the feedback sheets fault for the miscommunication, this is because the
sheet displays the work as only needing to be done through the use of ticks unless
something was not done right and if something was indeed not done correctly then there
was the option to display what the issues are and what can be improved from those
issues. As according to my accessor that everything was done to the correct manor, each
box is just filled with a yes tick which unfortunately doesn’t give me a lot to work with in
terms of departments to improve while I think if I was to review myself, while I may be a
little too harsh on myself and the points, I can actually see what I need to improve and I
can use that harshness to see what isn’t completely perfect and can work onto that
review to make it the best that the work could be. One last thing my accessor could of
possibly done to help me is to talk to me a little more, I didn’t need to talk with them as
unfortunately they were having issues so all of their work wasn’t actually on display.
And finally, think about how the experience of both delivering and receiving
feedback/verbal/written communication can be applied to Esports. Think about team
dynamics, fostering a positive environment, giving clear and measurable targets, etc.
(Minimum 300+ words)
Feedback can be applied in esports by giving feedback to a teammate’s gameplay. This
can be from as little as to do one thing different or to change a big thing that could be the
difference between a loss and a win. Feedback can be the extra push that someone might
need to adjust how they play to help their entire team to compete towards that win. An
example of this can be seen In Valorant, a big aspect of the aim side of Valorant consists
of crosshair placement, what this means is where you place the middle of your screen
while playing Valorant, to have a good crosshair placement can be the difference between
a death and a kill as a good crosshair placement means easier shots to hit on your
enemies while it would be harder to hit an enemy if your crosshair placement was much
worse. The same things can be applied to several other aspects of games as well. Another
form of feedback you could use to improve is self-feedback by recording a game you play
competitively and watch over the parts of the recording where you messed up or where
you can improve and figure out what you can do to improve that and apply that to your
next game and rinse and repeat, the same tactic can also be used for other people to
review you as other people may spot issues with your work that you wouldn’t originally
point out yourself as you see it as your ordinary gameplay and nothing else. Sometimes
they don’t even need feedback but just positive re enforcement to get someone into the
playing spirit and help them feel good about how they play. Sometimes people pay to get
their gameplay reviewed and looked at by pros to help them improve aspects of their
gameplay that only a pro would typically spot rather than the average player.
