TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION IN LESSON PLANS

Technology Integration is the introduction of technology in terms of the teaching styles

of the teachers. Technology creates a huge part for all educators since it provides an easy task for
teachers and learners. As I had experienced in elementary days, our teachers only use visual aids
during our lessons. We gather information through books and other learning materials. In my
own opinion, it takes a lot of time in creating and answering our research, since we are using
different books to provide efficient and enough answers. As time goes by, the introduction of
technology during college days provides us, students, a great help, it is essential for us,
especially during research Google already provided the answers without consuming so much
time.

As of today, while I am taking Professional Education, I find it an opportunity since the

mode of my classes is through online classes. Technology empowers teachers to develop creative and
interactive classrooms and gives them access to innovative resources. Effective educators understand the
benefits of integrating technology in the classroom and finding new ways to make lessons meaningful.
Our professor uses different platforms such as Google Meet and Zoom during our discussions. I,
as one of the students, feel amazed because of the advantage that brings of this kind of platform.
During our prelim exam, we don't need to go to our specific classroom, since our educators used
technology in creating examination questions, and weekly activities online posted on our Google
Classroom. Based on my observation from my college days, it is new for me. The adjustments to
both parties are not inevitable, the educators and the learners both learning this kind of new way
of teaching. Educators made it impossible possible, during discussions the teachers only need to
share their screen for everyone to access, and with the use of Powerpoint or Canva, the teachers
able to present the lessons. The advantage of technology, like using media during a presentation
is, it helps students to understand and retain knowledge better.

Integrating technology into education assists students in building the competencies they

need for the future. Therefore, technology is considered one of the components or keys to all
students and also to teachers in terms of imparting and gaining knowledge. It brings a lot of help,
especially in the 21st century, technology plays the role of a bridge between the student and
teachers. It links the two parties even if there is a distance.
