Scientific Method Dependent Variable Drawing a Conclusion
Experiment

1. It is commonly known as a systematic and organized body of knowledge.

2. This is the process by which Science is carried out, it contains a series of steps to be
followed such as observation, making a hypothesis, experimentation, analyzing
data, and drawing a conclusion.
3. This step of the Scientific method involves using all of the senses, as appropriate,
to find out about the characteristics, properties and attributes of objects, places
and events.
4. It is commonly referred as an educated guess, a tentative statement about the
relationship between two or more variables. It is a specific, testable prediction
about what you expect to happen in a study.
5. This is a procedure carried out to support or refute a hypothesis, it is also known as
hypothesis testing.
6. This refers to any factor that can be manipulated, controlled for, or measured in an
experiment.
7. It is the variable that an experimenter manipulates or changes, and is assumed to
have a direct effect on the dependent variable.
8. It is the variable being tested and measured in an experiment, and is 'dependent' on
the independent variable.
9. This is the step in the Scientific method where gathered information are organized
in graphs or tables and are being examined to check if they support the hypothesis
or not.
10. This is the last step of the Scientific method. It contains a summary of the results of
an experiment.
