SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS
As one of the education pillars of the Ozamiz City Division, Gala National High
School constitutes rules and regulations that govern students’ conduct and discipline.
This is to ensure that the learners are leaning toward holistic development and that
they are provided with a comfortable stay in the institution. The school also aims to
be an environment free from any exploitations, violence, bullying, discriminations,
and child abuse in any forms like physical, verbal and emotional. The following are
the policies and regulations each student must observe.
General Conduct of Students
1. All students must attend the Flag Raising Ceremony every day.
2. Show courtesy and respect to fellow students, teachers, non － teaching

personnel and visitors.
3. Students may be allowed to go out from the school campus during class hours
only upon presentation of a admission slip from the respective advisers or
subject teachers.
4. Bringing pornographic magazines, and deadly weapons such as knives,

knuckles, guns, blades inside the campus is prohibited.
5. Refrain from using the cellular phones and other electronic devices during
class hours. The use of cellphones and other electronic devices for classroom
activities, instruction and other important matters are allowed upon the
approval of adviser or teacher and during emergencies.

6. Inviting outsiders to enter the school campus during class hours and/or
loitering along the corridor while classes are going on, shouting, talking in a
loud voice, vandalizing, littering, and creating disturbances is strictly
prohibited and shall be dealt with accordingly.
7. Follow classroom policies established by the adviser and subject teachers.
8. Display appropriate behavior in faculty rooms, library, hallways and other

offices in the school.
9. Prohibits the display of immoral acts (kissing, touching, petting and others)
both inside and outside the school campus.
10. No bringing and drinking of alcoholic beverage inside the school.
11. The school prohibits students’ inclusion to gambling, smoking and drinking
liquor.
12. Abstain from possession, handling or peddling of dangerous and illegal drugs.
13. Refrain from climbing over the school fence/passing through any exit point
except the main gate during class hours.
14. Charging of cellphones and any gadgets inside the classroom or anywhere in
the school premises is prohibited.
15. Avoid membership, recruitment, engagement or support to activities related

to fraternities, sororities, gang or organizations not recognized or approved
by the school.
16. All students must observe cleanliness and orderliness of the school premises.
17. Students forging the signature of any teachers or school official shall be dealt
accordingly.

18. Students are strictly prohibited from TESPI Farm, View Deck, and other
visiting sites during class hours and while they are also wearing their school
uniforms.
19. Male students are prohibited to wear earring. Colored hairs, short pants and
slippers are not allowed in the campus.
20. Female students are prohibited to wear sleeveless blouses, off-shoulders,

croptop or shirts, miniskirts, short pants and slippers are not allowed in the
campus.
21. Save water, light and other resources.
22. Avoid cheating in any form
23. Honor the school, teachers, and non － teaching personnel, visitors and
school property.
24. No body tattoo (henna, permanent and other means)
25. No bullying.
Guidelines in Wearing the School Uniform
1. Wearing of the prescribed uniform is encouraged.
2. Wearing of shoes is encouraged as part of the uniform.
3. All students shall be required to wear the official school ID in the school
campus.
4. The acceptable haircut for boys shall be at least one (1) inch above the ear and
three (3) inches above the collar line.
5. Lending of ID to another student is not allowed.

6. IDs tampered with stickers and other necessary writings will be confiscated.
7. Observe proper behavior while wearing the school uniform inside and outside
the school campus.
ABSCENCES
1. Every absent of a student, he/she must provide an excuse letter signed

by the parents/guardian and an admission slip from the guidance
counselor designate before entering the classroom. (considering a valid
reason)
2. If the student has 3 unexcused consecutive abscences, the school will

call the attention of the parents.
3. If 10 absences each month, the Education Committee Chairman,

parents and the principal will settle the matter.
TARDINESS
1. Every late comer from each subject should provide an admission slip from
the guidance counselor designate and expected to have a community
service depending on the time given to him/her.
2. 5 times late will be the conference with the adviser.
3. 10 times late will be a conference with the guidance designate and

parent.
4. 15 times late will be a conference with the principal and the Education
Chairman Committee.

Gross violation of the above mentioned RULES AND REGULATIONS will be

subject for SUSPENSION or EXPULSION.
