Directions: Create a blog on moral values that you got from the short story "Sinigang" and its impact to you as a
21st century learner. Share it to the world by posting your blog in WordPress. Let your classmate or friend
evaluate your work.

In the short story entitled as “Sinigang” by Marie Aubrey J. Villaceran, I have learned a lot of moral lessons
from it. Unfortunately, I’m just going to state only one and that is being strong despites of the difficultness of
life. As a reader, I can say that Liza is strong enough to handle her family problem. “Sometimes we must be like
stone strong enough to stand on our own” – WhenEarthSpeaks. We encounter a thousand situations in a day that
require us to stand for ourselves; just like the rocks, they also encounter a lot of natural disasters but despites of
that its formation is still whole or have some scratch. We need to be strong like a rock, even though when life is
difficult for us, we need to be strong in order for us to overcome this. Being strong does not mean that you
never cry and never show some emotion. It also does not mean that you will never have days when you are
down. It does not mean that you will never have days where you question your strength. It does not mean that
you will not have days when you are not the strongest. You can still be "weak" even when you are strong.
Always remember that God gave us some hardships in life to face it with braveness and courageousness
because He knows that we can surpass all of these with the strength He gave within us.

As a both reader and learner, this story has a big impact to me. It made my knowledge more broaden regarding
to how we encounter and surpass the hardships. It’s all about defying the odds and that’s what makes you a
strong person like Liza. Remember that life has its storms. They don't last forever. When you’re facing some
hardships, just hang in there, and don’t forget to pray to our God. “There’s always a rainbow at the end of every
rain” – Prince.
