1 Energy Storage: - A capacitor can store charges when it is connected to Power supply circuit
after giving some supply when we disconnect the power supply it store some charges like in ENA we
prove that Capacitor can store some charges when we open power supply for second and then
close it..
2 Pulsed power and weapons: this type is basically used in explosion like in nuclear
weapons or like some special weapons or slapper detonators in nuclear weapons and other
specialty weapons.

3 Power conditioning: - This capacitor is basically used to make smooth surface of half and
full wave rectifier. They also used charging the capacitor when we need it

4 Power factor correction: -Power Factor Correction is a technique which uses capacitors to
reduce the reactive power component of an AC circuit in order to improve its efficiency and reduce
current.
5 Suppression and coupling: -The role of coupling capacitors is to prevent the
incoming AC signal from interfering with the bias voltage applied to the base of a
transistor. In such applications, the signal is driven to the base of a transistor through a
serially connected coupling capacitor.

6 Motor starters: - In this type of capacitor it basically give some extra Push to start the capacitor like
if we take an example like in Motors we mostly use this type of capacitor.
7 Sensing: - The capacitive sensing, including sensors to detect and measure proximity, pressure,
position and displacement, force, humidity, fluid level, and acceleration.

8 Oscillator: -An oscillator capacitor is a type of feedback oscillator which is built using resistors and
capacitors, along with an amplifying device such as a transistor or operational amplifier.

9 Hazard and Safety-: a capacitor is subjected to high currents that may cause heating and
explosion like when we give Voltages to capacitor it actually heat up after some couple of minutes it may
cause explosion.
(10) Glitch Removal: - Glitches are dependent on signal transitions and more glitches results in
higher power dissipation.
INDUCTOR: - An inductor is defined as a passive component that is used in most electrical circuits to
store energy in the form of magnetic energy when electric current flows through it. It is also known as the
coil, choke, or reactor

APPLICATION OF INDUCTORS
 Tuning circuits
 Sensors
 Store energy in a device
 Induction motors
 Transformers
 Filters
 Chokes
 Ferrite beads
 Inductors used as relays
1Tuning circuits: -With the help of inductors, the tuning circuits can select the desired
frequency. The capacitor type along with the inductor are used in various electronic devices
such as radio tuning circuits, a television in order to modify the frequency and help to select
within multiple channels of frequency.
2 Sensors: -The inductive proximity sensors are very reliable in operation and is a
contactless sensor. Inductance is the main principle behind it in which the magnetic field in
the coil will oppose the flow of electric current. The proximity sensors mechanism is used in
traffic lights to detect traffic density.
3 Store energy in a device: - Inductor basically store charges in type of magnetic field it is
like same as capacitor let’s say when we give power supply to inductor it store some charges
if we open power supply for couple of seconds it also store some charges.
4 Induction motors: - - Basically in this type we can manage the frequency according to our
need- Basically it also rotate due to Rotation of magnetic field.
5 Transformers: - we can say the combination of multiple inductors magnetic field can be
designed into a transformer. One of the major uses of transformer can be seen in power
transmission systems..
6 Filters: - An inductor filter, also known as a choke filter, is a circuit that uses an inductor to
improve the output signal of a rectifier.
7 Chokes: - A choke, also known as an inductor, is used to block higher-frequency while
passing direct current (DC) and lower-frequencies of alternating current (AC) in an electrical
circuit.  Ferrite beads
8 Ferrite beads: - are classified as inductors, but their frequency-impedance characteristics differ
from those of most inductors. Compared with general inductors, ferrite beads have a high
resistance component R and a low Q value.
9 Inductors used as relays: - Relay behaves as an electrical switch. With the use of an
inductor coil in the switch, there is a magnetic field produced wherever the switch comes in
contact with the flow of AC current.
(10)Glitch Removal:- . Glitches are dependent on signal transitions and more glitches
results in higher power dissipation.

TYPES OF CAPACITORS
(1)Film Capacitor: - This is the most common that belongs to a relatively large family of capacitors.
(2)Dielectric Capacitors. Dielectric capacitors considered to belong to the "variable type" of
capacitors in which a continuous variation of capacitance is needed for tuning transistor radios,
transmitters, and receivers.
(3)Ceramic Capacitors:-. Ceramic Capacitors are basically called as"Disc Capacitors." They're
made by taking a small ceramic or porcelain disc and coating both sides with silver before stacking
them.
(4)Electrolytic Capacitors:-
An electrolytic capacitor. This Capacitor basically depend on the situation when we need big
capacitor value.
(5)Aluminum electrolytic capacitors: - Aluminum capacitors are polarized electrolytic capacitors
whose anode electrode (+) is made of a pure aluminum foil with an etched surface
(6)Tantalum Capacitor: - A tantalum electrolytic capacitor is an electrolytic capacitor, a passive
component of electronic circuits
(7)Radial Electrolytic Capacitor:- An electrolytic capacitor is a polarized capacitor which uses an
electrolyte which basically try to achieve more capacitance in comparison to other capacitor.
(8)CBB60B Capacitor: The CBB60 series of motor run capacitors is ideal for start and run ilver mica
capacitors
(9)Silver mica Capacitor: - Silver mica capacitors are used in applications which call for low
capacitance values and high stability, this type of capacitor basically used in POWER RF circuit
this is basically main use of Capacitance.
(10) Vacuum capacitor:- Vacuum capacitor is generally used in high voltage applications such
as high powered broadcast transmitters, large antenna tuners and amateur radio RF amplifier
And also this type is basically used in Radio power antenna that is there general use /

TYPES OF INDUCTOR
(1)Film inductor:   This form of inductor uses a film of conductor on a base material. The film is
then etched or shaped to give the required conductor profile
(2) Iron core inductor: - the iron core inductor is used in filter circuits to smooth out the ripple voltage
this voltage is mostly or we can say commonly used in AF voltages.
(3)Air core inductor:-this type of inductor is basically design to see the frequency of or transfer the
current to the frequency
(4)Iron powder Inductor:-iron powder inductor is also called DC inductor and this basically Powder cores
are distributed air gap cores that are primarily used in power inductor applications.
(5) Ferrite Core Inductor: - A Ferrite Core Inductor is a passive two terminal electrical component that
resists basically change resist in electric charges or current passing through it.
(6) Fixed inductor: -n inductor with a fixed inductance is called a fixed inductor we can also an inductor
with a fixed layer is called Fixed inductor.
(7)Variable inductor :- an inductor or reactor whose inductance is continuously adjustable. This is
basically called Variable Inductor.
(8)Soft ferrite inductor: - The Smoothing Inductor module is one of the Power Electronics Devices that
that basically allow training in power inductor.
(9)Hard ferrite inductor: - Ferrite core inductors are used in the range of electric circuit applications
including power conversion, broadband, and interference suppression.it is basically same as ferrite
inductor.
(10) high-frequency inductors:-High frequency induction welding is used to make pipe or tube from strip
which is fed into rolls which form the strip into a cylindrical shape
