It is undeniable that with advancements in technology, new innovations have

penetrated every sector of human life and made tremendous positive changes in our
lives, enhancing the potential for career growth. As a child, new technologies and
developments have always fascinated me and it was in my second semester of my
college that I had a chance to take up computer programming as part of my curriculum.
I still remember the good times I used to spend in the Computer Science lab that helped
instil a passion towards computers, which has now become a desire, a driving force to
pursue my Masters in Information Technology.
My aspiration today to pursue a professional degree in Information Technology is
nourished and nurtured by ample exposure to computers and dedicated and consistent
efforts to study them. With time and through many of my academic and practical
experiences, I have grown to develop a strong liking for many different aspects of
computing.

During the last two years, besides the college academics, I spent most of my time
attending a number of extra-curricular workshops, seminars and conferences in
different fields of computer science. I have acquired an excellent knowledge of
programming languages like C, C++, JAVA, python and SQL through certifications done
out my self-interest. I have also found penchant for Network Security, Robotics and Data
Structures. I also presented various seminars on OSI model of computer networking and
robotics in IIT Kharagpur. I am at ease with software tools like Adobe Photoshop,
Microsoft tools and many more and have won many coding contests in college days.

I was really amazed by the potential of computers and their use in mechanical field
when I was exposed to subjects like Computer-aided Design (CAD) and Computer-aided
Manufacturing (CAM). This motivated me to learn Machining of various materials using
CNC machines, which involved learning CNC machine G-Code and earn certification in
this regard. I learnt about the network connection that connected multiple CNC
machines to a single computer. I also prepared a computer-aided model for the
components that were being machined in my project. By the time the project completed
successfully, I got to know how computers are being used effectively and efficiently in
different manufacturing industries for automation of different manual work. I
completed my undergraduate degree with 8.14 CGPA and graduated with a first-class
distinction.

After my college, I believed that in order to be aware of current industry standards, and
to expand my knowledge base, I needed to have a work experience in this ever-changing
field. Consequently, I secured a job at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading IT
company in India. Here, I was introduced to various technologies like cloud computing,
data science, big data. I gained experience in design, development, testing and
implementation of various stand-alone and client server architecture-based enterprise
application software in python on different domains like technology, healthcare and
banking domains. I gained good experience in developing web applications
implementing MVC architecture using DJANGO, FLASK, and SPRING web application
framework. As a developer, I designed learning management system for my client using
Drupal and PHP language and developed a self-learning module that could be used for
training new workers. What I have learnt on the job has enabled me to become more
independent, pragmatic, spontaneous and made me realize the importance of working
together as a team. I was widely acclaimed and awarded many a times as the best
developer and team leader on various occasions by my organization.

I am confident that Arizona state university will be the ideal institution for me to gain
technical knowledge and practical experience. The university has interdisciplinary
programs that help in promoting new ideas and researchers which has greatly appealed
to me. Besides, it offers diverse learning opportunities to potential candidates of various
topics like CSE 510 Database management system Implementation which are very
interesting topics. We can also elect courses according to our choice like CSE 575
statistical machine learning which I love to learn. Along with that, I am looking forward
to learning under the experiential faculty and do my course-work under the highly
experienced teaching professionals. The research-based curriculum at Arizona state
university will help me gain specialized knowledge in ML algorithms and deep learning.
The course in Information Technology that I wish to join is innovatively designed
consisting of important modules to equip its students with the analytical, strategic,
critical and creative skills required to succeed in the competitive digital technology
field. I believe that my aspiration to gather more knowledge on challenging concepts of
Information Technology would meet fruition at your deemed university. I am sure that
my strong motivation, my undergraduate experience, my work exposure and my
analytical aptitude will help me excel in every aspect of this field.
After the completion of the course, I look forward to gain more real-time practical
experience and knowledge regarding the field through tenure at reputed firms like IBM,
Google and Infosys and one day open an entrepreneurial venture of my own.
