Mission : To make every MPESian learner a proficient reader by adapting the Schools Division two ARCs of Reading namely the
Advanced Reading Curriculum (ARC1) and Authentic Reading Culture (ARC2).
Objectives : 1. Determine the challenge learners by using Learner’s Reading Profile (LRP) based on the results of Phil-IRI and
Performance Assessment in Reading (PAR);
2. Capacitate teachers on content and pedagogy to become effective reading teachers;
3. Gather unwavering supports from all the stakeholders;
4. Nurture a culture of reading in school by creating Reading Magic Center;
5. Foster the love and habit of reading among learners and develop among them a sense of reading norms and
values
6. Develop interesting, age-appropriate and contextualized reading learning resources
7. Conduct action research on various subjects, stages and levels of implementation of the project
8. Recognize effective implementers and staunch supporters of the project
