MOTIVATION
Group Activity
The class will be divided into two groups; each group will give their insights toward the given
illustrations, each group can give from five up to ten words, and will present in the class.
They will come up with the following insights:
1. An illustration of a garden (beautiful, fragrant, colorful, vibrant, etc.)
2. An illustration of a sea (blue, wide, beautiful, enormous, etc.)
“Okay class, I’ll divide you into two groups and you “Okay, Sir”
will give your interpretation of the given picture, and
make insights about it, each group can give from five
up to ten words, and then present it in the class. This
collaborative task will consume only 5 minutes. So go
to your respective group”

words are called Adjectives. Adjectives are words or
phrases that describe the qualities or states of being of
a noun. Some examples are pretty, delicious, tall,
enormous and small. Okay class, who can give me an
example of adjectives?”
Great! Class, it seems that you all have understood (Students will say “None Sir”
the definition of adjectives and its examples. Are
there any questions and clarifications?”
“Okay, let’s start with you Jea.” (Jea will share her sentence and so will the rest of
the class.)
“I am grateful class, that all of you are able to “Thank you Sir!”

Application
Group activity: The class will be divided into 2 groups. Group 1 will do a 2 stanza poem that
describes nature and group 2 will make a short song that describes a family (the group may
create an original tune or may sample from other songs). The groups will be given 10 minutes to
complete their assigned tasks.
