ACTIVITY #6

1. Relate/Share one situation in your life wherein you have made a very important decision. Tell how were you
able to apply the 7-step of decision making. Put in in tabular form. (Just one decision)
Situation: One of my biggest decisions in life is choosing my
course in college and choosing my future occupation.
whether I’m going to purse my dream job which is
mechanical engineering or choosing the job that is
somehow relatable to my current course in college
which is mechanical technology.
Step 1: Stop and Think After knowing that I can’t take my dream course in
college which is mechanical engineering I stop and
think what I should do and think what the possible
solution to this problem are.
Step 2: Clarify Goals My goal is that to graduate in college and to have a
job as soon as possible here in the Philippines to gain
experience so that I can apply jobs in other countries.
Step 3: Determine facts Based on the information that I gathered, mechanical
engineering and mechanical technology is somehow
not that different from each other. I can also take jobs
that is related to mechanical engineering even though
I studied mechanical technology.
Step 4: Develop options After immense analyzing all the possible solution I
come up to 2 major options to this problem, one is
that I continue to pursue my dream course in other
school and two is that I continue my current course.
Step 5: Consider consequences One of the consequences in these two options is that
choosing to pursue my dream course in other school
may result to financial problems because I’m
planning to transfer in a private school which
requires a huge amount of tuition fee, and also in that
time the pandemic also affects our financial income.
Step 6: Choose I’ve decided that I will continue to pursue my current
course and even though I didn’t end up in my dream
course and job, I’m just going to think that maybe
God has another plan to my future.
Step 7: monitor and modify Even though thing may not end the way you want
just think that maybe there another reason why that is
not destined for you. In terms of decision making, I’ll
make sure that before making action I’m going to
follow these steps so that it will improve my decision
making.

3. Choose 1 moral theory from what we have studied. Explain and React on that theory.
In my opinion, moral subjectivism is wherein a person can determine right or wrong situation with
his/her own opinion and judgement.
