State five characteristics of human development from life-span perspective
and their implications to childcare, education, and parenting.
Characteristics of Human Educational implication to
Development from Life-Span Childcare, Education and Perspective Parenting 1. Development is Lifelong. Development never stop at a certain point in life nor it is not temporary, but a lifelong phenomena. So as a teacher who thrives to be better, I should accept all the changes and development I will experience and encounter. And so for my student, their development will be a sign that they are learning, and that’s a good thing for an effective teacher.
2. Development is Plastic. Development can be in all shape, forms
and size. It can be flexible, so as long it is effective and functional that will help a teacher or me, I can use this to again be better at teaching. As the world is rapidly changing, teacher should cope up on this one, we should cope up to everyone's development.
3. Development is Multidimensional. Development does not stick on just
physical appearance, but of course to different aspect such as, emotions and mental capacity. As a teacher we should show students that changes in body, changes in their emotions or moods is absolutely normal, and nothing is wrong with it. Through me as a future educator, I should help this students who struggles to deal with it and of course to normalize these things.
4. Development is Contextual. Everyone is unique and have their own
charm and goodness, so as a future educator, I should be considerate on the things that my student have. I should not forcefully imply something to them but to adapt and of course to learn from them as well.
5. Development involves growth, To be fully effective, I should keep in mind
maintenance, and regulation. that these developments need to be observe, check, and maintain. As it will be the foundation to be a better individual. As a teacher who will be a role model to a hundreds to thousands students, the good things should be seen on me first, for me to inspire those youths and then hopefully the cycle will continue.
