Learning Summary for Grade 6

Subject Summary of Learning
During this week students were able to predict
the theme of the story ‘Trash’.
Then, they were able to demonstrate an
understanding of the plot of the story. We
English
analysed a few literacy devices used in Trash.
Lastly, students were able to analyse how the
writer has developed the characters in the novel
‘Trash’.
Students started learning about Equality and
equivalence and were able to understand the
Maths
meaning of equality,they also explored and
solved questions related to one step equations
This week in science students explored the
application of various techniques including
Science evaporation, distillation and chromatography to
separate the components of mixtures. They
learned the concepts of solution and solubility.
Geography Students were able to explore the river process.
