SUMMARY
PT Wilwatikta Pusaka Energi is a company founded in Jakarta with the intention to develop renewable
energy potency in Indonesia.
The project highlight of PT Wilwatikta Pusaka Energi is the Nokan 3 MHPP, located in Kemumu
Village, Arma Jaya Sub-District, North Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province, with planned capacity
of 5 MW and estimated plant factor of 66.41%.
PT. Bangkahulu Kapindho Energi has undertook the Pre-Feasibility Study (Pre-FS) to ensure the site is
potentially feasible to be developed as an MHPP in an Independent Power Producer (IPP) project, and
currently in-depth Feasibility Study is being developed by Indokoei International.
As of date, “Izin Prinsip” by the Regent of Bengkulu Utara, “Rekomendasi Teknis Kepala Dinas
Kehutanan Survey Pemetaan Dinas Kehutanan” by local Forestry Service, and “Rekomendasi Gubernur
untuk Pembangunan PLTMH” has been issued to PT Bangkahulu Kapindho Energi. Currentlly
AMDAL is ongoing.

LOCATION
The potential location of Nokan 3 Mini Hydro Power Plant (MHPP) was identified in Kemumu Village,
Arma Jaya Sub-District, North Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province harnessing hydro-potential of
Nokan River. It is about 60 km from Bengkuku City which can be reached approximately 2-3 hours by
car.

HYDROLOGY
The methods applied to estimate long-term daily discharge is the catchment area and rainfall ratio based
on the discharge data of Air Ketahun River at Air Ketahun Tunggang AWLR Station. The data is
available for a period of 7 years, which is between 1994 and 2012. Then, it was checked and compared
with the discharge estimated by using NRECA (National Rural Electric Cooperative Association) and
FJ Mock Method based on rainfall data of Kurotidur, Argamakmur and Baturoto Station. The discharge
data from the AWLR station was transferred to the weir of Nokan 3 MHPP by applying catchment ratio
of 0.103 (100 km2/968.8 km2) and annual rainfall ratio of 1 since they are located in the similar rainfall
contour (4,000 mm).
The Flow Duration Curve (FDC) of the Nokan 3 MHPP site is established and used for power
generation planning and production energy simulation together with optimization of development
scheme. The figure below shows FDC of daily discharge of Nokan 3 MHPP based on the low flow
analysis.

Flood discharge has been analyzed by Unit Nakayasu Hydrograph and checked by Creagrer’s Curve.
Estimated flood discharge for 10, 50, and 100 years return period is 349 m3/sec, 459 m3/sec, and 509
m3/sec.

POWER GENERATION
The MHPP is designed with 2 x 2.50 MW or 5.00 MW in total, based on the maximum design discharge
of 6.69 m3/sec at 39 % probable discharge by applying Francis type Turbine. This plan is harnessing
effective head of 100 m. After considering additional discharge for ecological flow at 0.67 m3/sec, the
average gross annual energy production of Nokan 3 MHPP is approximately 29.41 GWh with plant
factor (PF) at 66.41%.
