BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

In Indonesia, Unemployment is estimated to hit the highest level rising to 9.2 percent in 2021.
While in the Philippines, the Unemployment Rate in 2021 is estimated at 7.4 percent. Businesses
in these countries needed to close due to lack of supply and most business owners may have no
choice but to use their business capital to cover their daily needs. These adjustments may lead to
lower incomes and an increase in poverty.
Some jobless people endeavor to become self-employed in order for them to earn an income and
thus be able to maintain their family's needs. This is why we chose to discuss and analyze
Unemployment so that we have an idea of how much hard work and stress workers have to go
through in the Philippines and Indonesia. Unemployment is one of the problems of any country
and it results in poverty for people who have lost their jobs. It really affects the economic growth
and other aspects of the country so it should be given attention.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

What are the different impacts of the increased unemployment percentage on the Philippines and
Indonesia in the year 2021

The different impacts of increased unemployment in both countries can put a burden on
individuals, the general public, and the economy. The joblessness rate isn't totally clear
depending on how it's calculated. When unemployment becomes an unavoidable issue,
arguments for protectionism and strict immigration restrictions become increasingly common.
Protectionism does not always result in disastrous blow-for-blow retaliation amongst countries;
however, declines in exchange of products affect the monetary prosperity of all trading partners.
The need for all sectors to work together to make sure that children and adolescents, their
families, and their communities have the health and well-being they need and deserve.
Whole-of-government, whole-of-society, and health in all policies are the best ways to do this.

METHODOLOGY

The people of the country need the right governance architecture, instruments, and mechanisms
to make the society expand and grow. The main function of these approaches is to promote
coherence, build accountability (including through participation), and ensure that the people,
institutions, and systems that can be seen have the ability to work together effectively. Human
resource development has been a key part of sustainable development for a long time. It creates
jobs, improves working conditions, and helps people stay in their jobs for a long time.
