What is mixed number?

Using the flash card with fraction (proper fraction,


improper fraction, and mixed number), choose Five pupils
to identify the fraction. The teacher flashes the cards. The
first pupil will go to the board and give the answer. Once
finished answering she/he will go back to their seats.

Lesson What is proper fraction?
- A fraction whose numerator is less than the
denominator. It is a fraction greater than 0 but
less than 1.

What is improper fraction?


- A fraction whose a numerator is equal to greater
than denominator. It is a fraction equal to 1 or
greater than 1.

What is a mixed number?


- A fraction which is a combination of a whole
number and a proper fraction.

Annotations:
In my Classroom Observation, I have used researched-based knowledge and principles of
teaching and learning by providing a picture to activate the prior knowledge of the pupils and as
a springboard to the lesson. I integrated my topic across learning areas by asking HOTS
questions. Moreover, I was able to align the instructional activities and assessment to achieve
the Mastery Level and objectives of the lesson.
