Notes:
1. Accidental torsion in each level is the story force in each level multiplied by 5% of the
story width perpendicular to the direction of loading.
2. Amplification factor (Ax) is assumed equal to 1.0.
3. For rigid diaphragms, the mass at each level shall be assumed to displace from the calculated
center of mass in each direction a distance equal to 5% of the building dimension at that level
perpendicular to the direction of force under consideration.
