GIỐNG NHAU sẽ nhận điểm 0 và KHÔNG ĐƯỢC THI CUỐI KỲ
 Sinh viên lưu sản phẩm vào các thư mục tương ứng với từng bài, không nộp kèm
các file rác. Thư mục tổng có dạng: “ho ten sinh vien – ma so sinh vien”. (Ví dụ:
Nguyen Thi Thu Linh – 0943657).
 Không đặt tên file và tên thư mục có dấu tiếng Việt (để tránh bị lỗi khi sử dụng
các phần mềm).

Exercise 1 (3.5 pts)

1.1 Convert the file COVID-19.pdf into an editable word file. Submit the
converted word file. (1 pt)
1.2 Convert the file Big Data.pdf into an editabe word file. Name the converted
word file Big Data 1.docx and submit it. (1 pt)
1.3 Insert the comment: your name_student ID (e.g.: Nguyen Thi Thu Linh –
0943657) in the very first lines of two converted file in 1.1 and 1.2 (0.5
pt/comment)
1.4 Translate the following website into English or Vietnamese. Submit the
screenshot of the translated website. (1 pt)

Exercise 2 (2 pts)
You have received a 296-word text as follows at 8 a.m today. You are supposed
to translate it to English and submit your translation NO LATER THAN 8.45 a.m
during the same day. Your client expects you to not only transfer the
terminologies with highest level of accuracy but also create the stylistic effects
appropriate for such a poetic lead-in of an outdoor spectacle art show.
How would you tell your customer about the quote of the translation, and the
reasons for your choice?
Exercise 3 (4.5 pts)
You are given two files: (E)_761_QD-TTg.doc; (V)_761_QD-TTg.doc
- Create Translation Memory (TM) and name it TM_QD-TTg.sdlalign from the
two given files for English-Vietnamese translation. Submit the file. (1.5 pts)
- Use the file TM_QD-TTg.sdlalign as TM to translate 263 first words in the
file QD-TTg-en into Vietnamese. Submit the screenshot of how your file is being
translated in Trados. (0.5 pt)
- Submit the file QD-TTg-en whose 263 first words have been translated already.
(1.5 pts)
- Review your translation by using the function “Review” in Trados. Submit the
screenshot of at least 3 reviewed details in your translation. (1pt)

Note: Your translation job is assessed in terms of how well you leverage SDL
Trados to translate the document as well as the quality of your translation.
