Performance Task in Mathematics using GRASPS Model

Members: Ludovice, Hon Angel O.

Manuel, Carelle C.
Paguirigan, Cherimae M.

Grade Level 7
Subject: Mathematics
Learning Competencies:
 explains the importance of Statistics.
 gathers statistical data.
 organizes data in a frequency distribution table.

Goal Collect data and present using frequency distribution

table
Role You are a Statistician
Audience Your target audience is: friends, classmates, and family
members
Situation As a statistician, you are tasked to collect raw data on
the ages of your classmates by conducting a quick
survey and presenting your data through the use of a
frequency distribution table. In creating a frequency
distribution table, you are asked to answer the following
questions:
1. What is the class size?
2. What is the lower boundary of the lowest class?
3. What is the class mark of the highest class?
4. What is the lower boundary of the lowest class?
5. What is the class mark of the highest class?
6. What can you conclude about their ages from the
table?
Performance/Product Here is the process of submission for this performance
task:
 One of your members will submit the performance
task through FB messenger and google
classroom. Please make sure that you will be
able to submit the task on time.
 Drop a hard copy of your performance task to the
school’s drop box for outputs. Please make sure
that you will be able to submit the task on time.

Our group’s Performance Task adheres to the following Characteristics of 21 st Century Assessment because…

Characteristics of 21st Century Assessment Explanation

This performance is responsive because this assessment will
give feedback to both students and teachers if they met the
Responsive
learning competencies specifically in organizing data using a
frequency distribution table.
This performance is flexible because students may use
Flexible different ways of gathering data, it can be a manual survey or
an online survey which is adaptable to the student's settings.
This performance is integrated because it will allow students
to use a systematic approach and mathematical connections
Integrated
to generalize organized data.

This performance is informative because the knowledge of

the students on gathering, organizing the data, and
Informative presenting it step-by-step with the use of a frequency
distribution table will be demonstrated.
This performance is multiple methods in the sense of how
Multiple Methods they will gather the data needed and how will they present it.
This performance task is communicated in the sense that it is
an assessment that will be considered as an instrument to
Communicated give feedback about the student’s knowledge and skills in
obtaining and organizing data in the frequency distribution
table.
This performance task is technically sound because it is an
assessment that is aligned with the learning competencies
that are given to the student. Then, this is valid since this
Technically Sound performance task will test or measure the 21st-century skills
that are expected of the students, and it is also reliable
because this performance task will measure if the students
meet the learning outcomes in this particular subject.
This performance task is systematic in the sense that it is
well aligned with the assessment system. This task will
identify if the students meet the learning competencies, and
Systematic
also, the result of this performance task will inform teachers
and stakeholders if they need to improve their teaching
strategies or the curriculum itself.
