! WARNING
When the power cord is plugged in, hazardous voltages are present in the 7000 Film Duplicator. Power down the 7000
Film Duplicator and unplug it from the wall outlet.

! Caution
To avoid damage to staticsensitive components, always wear an antistatic strap when handling PCB's or EPROM's.

! Caution
Extreme care must be taken when mounting the replacement module. DO NOT hold the module by the board or over
stress the board when attaching the brackets to the base plate.

1. Power down the 7000 via the power switch and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
2. Remove the Front Panel ( refer to section 4-1-2).
3. Disconnect the cable and GND wire to the Laser Module. (See Figure 4-11.)
4. The Laser Module has three fixed mounting screws (5/64-inch hex). Loosen the mounting screws
(see Figure 4-11) and remove the Laser Module.
5. Reassemble in reverse order, and perform the adjustments in Section 3.

Loosen the three screws and remove the cable.

4-6. Spinner Module

! WARNING
When the power cord is plugged in, hazardous voltages are present in the 7000 Film Duplicator. Power down the 7000
Film Duplicator and unplug it from the wall outlet.

! Caution
To avoid damage to staticsensitive components, always wear an antistatic strap when handling PCB's or EPROM's.

1. Power down the 7000 via the power switch and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
2. Remove the Front Panel (refer to paragraph 4-1-2).
3. Disconnect the spinner cables from the Driver Circuit Board. (See Figure 4-12.)
4. Remove two attaching screws and remove the Driver Circuit Board. (See Figure 4-13.)
5. Remove four thumbscrews and remove the spinner dust cover. (See Figure 4-13.)
6. Remove the spinner mounting standoffs. (See Figure 4-12.)
7. Carefully remove the Spinner Module without touching the mirror surfaces by grasping the Spinner
mount at the base plate access mounting holes.
8. Reassemble in reverse order.

4-7. Power Module

! WARNING
When the power cord is plugged in, hazardous voltages are present in the 7000 Film Duplicator. Power down the 7000
Film Duplicator and unplug it from the wall outlet.

! Caution
To avoid damage to staticsensitive components, always wear an antistatic strap when handling PCB's or EPROM's.

1. Power down the 7000 via the power switch and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
2. Remove the Front Panel (refer to paragraph 4-1-2).
3. Loosen the four Power Module mounting screws. (See Figure 4-14.)
4. Lift the Power Module up enough to allow the screws to pass through the keyways on its bracket.
5. Rest the Power Module on the enclosure cross bar.
6. Disconnect the cabling to the Power Selector Module: J2. J3, P1 and GND wire (see Figure 4-14).
Also disconnect J8 from the Controller Module.
7. Reassemble in reverse order.

4-8. Controller Module

! WARNING

Film duplicator and unplug it from the wall outlet.

1. Power down the 7000 via the power switch and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
2. Remove the Front Panel (refer to paragraph 4-1-2).
3. Remove the Side Enclosure (refer to paragraph 4-1-3).
4. Remove the Power Module (refer to paragraph 4-7).
5. Remove the connectors at the Controller Module (J1, J2, J3, J4, J6, J7, and FD2).
6. Remove the eight screws securing the Controller Module to the back plate. (See Figure 4-15.)
7. Reassemble in reverse order.

4-9. Local Panel

! WARNING
When the power cord is plugged in, hazardous voltages are present in the 7000 Film Duplicator. Power down the 7000
Film Duplicator and unplug it from the wall outlet.

1. Power down the 7000 via the power switch and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
2. Remove the Front Panel (refer to paragraph 4-1-2).
3. Disconnect Local Panel cables J9 and J10 at the Controller Board. (See Figure 4-16.)
4. Remove the four screws securing the Local Panel bracket to the Front Panel. (See Figure 4-17.)
5. Reassemble in reverse order.

from the Controller Bd.
Remove four
screws and
disconnect
cable clips.

4-10. Power Selector Module

! WARNING
When the power cord is plugged in, hazardous voltages are present in the 7000 Film Duplicator. Power down the 7000
Film Duplicator and unplug it from the wall outlet.

1. Power down the 7000 via the power switch and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
2. Remove the two screws securing the Power Selector Module to the side enclosure panel. (See
Figure 4-18.)
3. Remove the Side Enclosure (see paragraph 4-1-3).
4. Disconnect P1 and the GND prong from the power supply.
5. Remove the two screws securing the power boot.
6. Slide the power boot sleeve back. Note the wire orientation before disconnection. Then remove the
wires from the terminals. (See Figure 4-19.)
7. Reassemble in reverse order.

When reassembling, check the labels on the wires to ensure that they are connected to the correct terminals.

4-11. Service Switch and Interlocks

4-11-1. Front Access Panel Service Switch

! WARNING
When the power cord is plugged in, hazardous voltages are present in the 7000 Film Duplicator. Power down the 7000
Film Duplicator and unplug it from the wall outlet.

1. Power down the 7000 via the power switch and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet..
2. Release the Front Access Panel.
3. Remove the Front Panel (refer to paragraph 4-1-2).
4. Disconnect the wires from the Service Switch. (See Figure 4-20.)
5. Remove the service switch by removing the three screws securing it to the side enclosure. (See
Figure 4-20.)

! WARNING

Film Duplicator and unplug it from the wall outlet.

1. Power down the 7000 via the power switch and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet..
2. Release the Front Access Panel.
3. Remove the Front Panel (refer to paragraph 4-1-2).
4. Disconnect the wires to the interlock and release the interlock tabs. (See Figure 4-21.)

4-11-3. Front Panel Interlock

! WARNING
When the power cord is plugged in, hazardous voltages are present in the 7000 Film Duplicator. Power down the 7000
Film Duplicator and unplug it from the wall outlet.

1. Power down the 7000 via the power switch and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
2. Remove the front panel (refer to paragraph 4-1-2).
3. Remove the wire from the interlock switch. (See Figure 4-22.)
4. Remove the switch by depressing the tabs.
