MOTIVATION: The teacher will play video presentation of different kinds of animals related to
vertebrates and intervebrates. Encourage the pupils to mention the names of the animals and
the appearance of each kind of animal
OBJECTIVES:
The learners should be able to…
1. make an inventory of vertebrates and invertebrates that are
commonly seen in the community
2. practice ways of caring and protecting animals
LEARNING MATERIALS: power point, T.V, Tab or cp, images of different kinds of animals
Developing mastery (leads to Formative Assessment):he teacher will show some pictures and let
the pupils tell something about the pictures.
GUIDED PRACTICE: Pupils’ will demonstrate that they have grasped the concepts and the skills by providing the pupil’s
opportunities to be flexible, make choices, take initiative, interact with others, be accountable, and be a leader.
The teacher will let the pupils identify the aniamal if it belongs to vertebrates and intervebrates
INDEPENDENT PRACTICE:
1. The pupils will give example of vertebrates and Intervebrates
ASSESSMENT: I will observe the children while they do the activities and ask some questions about the
topic to check their understanding. Also, I will make sure that I will entertain some questions to clarify our
topic at the end of the lesson.
Evaluating Learning:
Direction: List down at least 5 vertebrates and 5 invertebrates found in your community.
Identify what group of vertebrate and invertebrates the animals belong to
