When I considered writing my life story. I asked myself, What in my life is worth talking about? But
then I sat down and jotted down some details: My life does not appear to be as bleak as I had first
imagined. My name is Jan Niña Garay and my life began on January 20,2002 In Dr. Uy hospital,
where I was delivered at 8:00 in the morning to my mother, Ma.Era Garay. That time of the year is the
feast day of Senior Santo Niño, which is why my mother, named me after a saint. My dad John Garay
wasn’t there because he is working abroad for the first time and this is his first week at work. Since
then, my mother has adjusted to life with my father being an OFW. I am the youngest of 4 siblings,
but unfortunately, my older brother died. As I grew up, my life changed at each milestone In a person
life. I had a rough and very fun childhood. In the present we are still residing in Iligan City (City of
majestic waterfalls) and I am a first year Bachelor of Science in Nursing student. One fact about me is
that I grew living near the ocean and whenever I feel bad about things , I just engaged my self to the
ocean breeze and feel relaxed after a few minutes. It helps me mentally heal and think rationally. My
most memorable years were spent as an SPA student specializing in dancing. Not to brag, but in my
previous school and junior years, I participated in and had experienced many contest both inside and
outside the school, Diyandi Festival in 2017, Danztrack in 2018, Regional festival of talents in 2018.
It was my most memorable years since for me it is all about making memories and who I am making
with. I also gain profit from dance and arts. My life was filled with more great memories than the bad ,
even though we are having a financial problem because of COVID-19, My parents never once, made
it seem that way because they make sure we have food to eat, water to drink, and clean clothes to
wear. They even supported me with my decision, taking up BSN as my course. I was hesitant at first
but they want me to take the course and I took that leap of faith and the rest is still writing its story.
