ABSTRACT

The purpose of the study was to determine the level of anti-illegal drug operations

strategy of the PNP and community participation of the residents in Davao City It

used non-experimental quantitative study that includes a correlational study. It is

because it has no variable manipulation besides it uses numerical data and aims

to determine the relationship between two variables namely the anti-illegal drug

operations strategy of PNP and community participation. Through probability

sampling approaches, precisely simple random sampling, 150 respondents were

identified. A survey questionnaire was used in gathering of data, mean and

standard deviation, Pearson (r), and regression analysis were the statistical tools

to answer the research objectives. Additionally, very high level of community

participation is evident because residents support the campaign against illegal

drugs and preventive education is a most significant strategy that help educate the

residents with the relevant information that complement the approaches employed

in reducing drug demand. The respondents' high ratings for their community

participation speak to the fact that this variable is always manifested. The result

showed that there is a significant relationship between anti-illegal drug operations

strategy of the Philippine National Police and community participation.

study effort. Her insightful feedback pushed me to sharpen my thinking and

brought my work to a higher level.

I take this opportunity to express gratitude to all of the Panel of Examiners

for their help and support. Without their passionate participation and input, this

study could not have been successfully conducted.
