Canada's national police force, is

The RCMP is the only police force in the world
that acts as a federal, provincial and
municipal force. It enforces federal laws in
British Columbia and handles border integrity
and national security, drugs and organized
crime, financial crime and international
policing.

It's a federal police force tasked with

protecting the U.S. against terrorist threats and
intelligence offenses. They also enforce federal
criminal laws and step in to help in any
situation that's too large for a local law
enforcement agency.

 BRIEF HISTORY
It began as the first civilian police
force in Australia, known as the Night
Watch, and was formed by Governor Arthur
Phillip in 1789 to guard Sydney Town. In
1862, all Watch Teams were combined
under the Police Regulation Act 1862 to
form the NSW Police Force.

The Police Federation of Australia

(PFA) is the national body representing
in excess of 66,000 Australian police
officers in all jurisdictions including
the Commonwealth.

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AUSTRALIA HAS A
FEDERAL SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT. UNDER THE
FEDERAL SYSTEM, POWER IS DIVIDED BETWEEN THREE
LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT: FEDERAL, STATE OR
TERRITORY, AND LOCAL. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS
THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF GOVERNMENT. IT REFERS TO
THE COUNTRY AS A WHOLE. FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

Australian state enacts its laws, general law
enforcement duties are the responsibility of state
police forces, who are in turn responsible to a
government minister (usually the Minister for Police).
These forces carry out the bulk of general policing
throughout the entire state.

Canada has three levels of police services: municipal,

provincial, and federal. The Royal Canadian Mounted
Police (RCMP), Canada's national police force, is
unique in the world as a combined international,
federal, provincial and municipal policing body.
 SIMILARITIES
Canada and Australia are Western democratic states
with a prominent middle power foreign policy
tradition and limited industrial capacity. The two
countries share a related philosophy of life, culture and
liberal values. There is also a groundswell of travel
interest, which has seen countless Australians and
Canadians travel, study and work in both countries.
Both nations fought in the Boer War, World War I,
World War II and the Korean War and together they
contributed forces to the invasion of Afghanistan in
2001.
