A Backfilling and Concrete Tiles Installation

Backfilling and reinstatement of the trench shall be in

A1 Approved SD
accordance with the requirements of approved Shop drawing

Inspect cables for physical damage and proper connection in

accordance with single line diagram.

Cables shall be installed in accordance with approved Shop

A3 drawings, SASO, IEC reference standards and the guidance Approved SD
notes published by the Institute of Electrical Engineers.

Minimum bending radius for all cables shall not be exceeded as

set out in SASO and IEC reference standards

The Contractor shall secure the manufacturers instruction with

respect to:
A5 1. Cable temperature prior to installation. Approved SD
2. Cable temperature during installation.
3. Handling, installation, jointing and termination.

Cast-in-Place or Directly-Buried PVC Conduit - Trench Bottom -

The trench base shall be smooth and free of any debris that (NEC 110.3 (b) - NEMA
A6 may be detrimental to the duct or impede the positioning of TCB 2, Sec 5(a))
spacers.

Red Concrete Tiles Shall be used above direct buried cable or
