Welcome Grade 5

Dear SD IMS Families,

Every year, all of the schools and libraries in the Philippines

celebrate National Reading Book Month. This celebration is based
on a proclamation issued in 1934 by then Governor-General Frank
Murphy, and amended in 1936 by President Manuel L. Quezon. It is
intended to encourage reading and literacy among Filipinos and
to promote public libraries in the Philippines.

In one with this goal, the STUDENTDESK IMS will celebrate this event
with this year’s theme: “REDISCOVERING THE LEGACY OF
LITERATURE THROUGH READING” to be held on November 29, 2022
(Tuesday). This year’s celebration aims to (a) promote love for
reading, and (b) promote appreciation for literacy.

Please see the attached details of the activities lined up for each
Grade Level. We have also listed down the materials that are
needed to be prepared prior to the activity. Please make sure to
have the materials ready as your child would be using them in the
performance tasks.
