I. OBJECTIVES At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to:
1. differentiate the 21st century literary genres, and the one’s from the original
genres;
2. enumerate the elements, structures and traditions of each genre;
3. appreciate the unique features of each genre.
A. Content Standards The learner will be able to understand and appreciate the elements and contexts of 21st
century Philippine literature from the regions.
B. Performance Standards The learner will be able to demonstrate understanding and appreciation of 21st Century
Philippine literature from the regions
C. Most Essential Learning Compare and contrast the various 21st century literary genres and the ones
Competencies (MELC) from the earlier genres/periods citing their elements, structures and traditions

IV. PROCEDURES
The learners will do a walkthrough of the lesson expectations. In this part, the content of the
Introduction lesson will be presented. Learning objectives will also be introduced to guide the learners
on the learning targets founded on KSAV principles.
