Outcome Based Education (OBE) based Lab Assessment

Grading Policy:
Sr. # Assessment Items Marks
1. Lab Manual 15
2. Final Exam 20
3. Theory Teacher Viva and Project 15
Total 50

Guidelines for different assessment methods are given below: HoDs / Chairmen can implement all of them or few of
them in their respective labs. If there is any semester project given in lab, then semester project rubrics can be used
for its assessment and its marks will be included in any of aforementioned items by HoDs / Chairmen.

1. Lab Manual Rubrics

Rubric for mark of each experiment (without scaling, represented as n, equal to 1) is given below:

At the end of semester, use following equations to calculate lab manual marks:

Scaling factor 1 =
Total number of labexperiments related ¿CLO 1 ¿ CLO1 ¿
Number of experiments conducted by lab engineer related ¿

Lab Manual marks obtained by student related to CLO_1 = (Scaling factor 1) x (Sum of marks obtained by the student in
each experiment related to CLO_1 using abovementioned table)

Scaling factor 2 =
Total number of labexperiments related ¿CLO 2 ¿ CLO2 ¿
Number of experiments conducted by lab engineer related ¿

Lab Manual marks obtained by student related to CLO_2 = (Scaling factor 2) x (Sum of marks obtained by the student in
each experiment related to CLO_2 using above mentioned table)
Total Lab manual marks = (Lab Manual marks obtained by student related to CLO_1) + (Lab Manual marks obtained by
student related to CLO_2)
