1.A protein is a chain of amino acids. There are 20 different amino acids in proteins.

2.Protein synthesis means the process of creating protein molecules.

3.There are four bases in RNA. They are adenine, cytosine, uracil, and guanine. RNA is

in the shape of a helix. Its sugar is named ribose.

4.There are two stages or steps of protein synthesis. The first step is translation and the

second step is transcription.

5.Transcription occurs in the nucleus, whereas translation occurs in the ribosome.

6.Transcription is when a DNA strand is copied into a new molecule of messenger RNA.
