Activity 3 Venn Diagram on Plants vs. Animal Tissues
Follow-up Questions:
1. I think the Epithelial tissue of animals and the Dermal tissue of plants have the same function
which is to serve as a barrier against any harm brought by elements/materials from outside the
tissue. The vascular tissue of plants and nervous tissue of animals both transport/transmit and
receive information (for animals) and materials (for plants). They also provide structural support.
2. When a tissue is damaged, I think that the organism can still live but it will feel pain and will not
be able to perform properly. The damaged tissue would hurt and cause discomfort. Just like when
a skin is wounded, it often the result in a void or loss of tissue. In medicine, wounds are also
referred to as lesions, defects, scars or tears. As part of the body’s normal healing mechanisms, a
biological process begins to repair the damage and this causes the pain an organism feels.

Reflect!
1. The lesson is about the types and classifications of plant and animal tissues. It discussed their
different roles, for a plant and an animal to perform its basic functions every day.
2. I learned about the similarities and differences of animal and plant tissues. I was also able to
know about how they work or their function in the organism. Lastly, I knew about the
modifications made in order for organisms to adapt and carry out certain functions.
3. I don’t have any questions regarding the topic.
