6.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

There are various ways to do land clearing other than manual which is based on human labor.
For instance, some farmers do burn their land as it take less time and more efficient. We also
learn a few new weeds that found in the plot.

7.0 RECOMMENDATIONS
There are some equipment used that are damaged such as a loose hoe. Therefore, the
damaged equipment should be separated so that the safety of the students is guaranteed and
the work done becomes easier.

8.0 CONCLUSION
In the first week, we learned a lot about the correct procedure to do land clearing activities
and know the importance of land clearing.
ACTIVITY CONTENT :

DATE : 21 OCTOBER 2022

TOPIC : Liming

TIME : 8.00 am – 12.00 pm

PLACE : Share Farm UITM Jasin Campus

OBJECTIVES :

o To raise the pH level of the soil that suit for planting crops
o To supply the soil with sufficient nutrients such as Calcium (Ca) and Magnesium
(Mg)
o To improve soil physical condition

1.0 INTRODUCTION

Liming is the next step after land clearing. This process plays a very important role in
plant growth because plants need suitable soil to grow, so if the soil has a pH that is too
low, it will result in the plant not being able to live. Soil pH suitable for plants is between
5.5 - 6.5, this is the best for our plants.

6.0 RECOMMENDATIONS
I think making the liming process by hand takes a long time and is not spread evenly.
Therefore, I hope to be able to use technology that allows the liming to be spread faster and
save costs.
7.0 CONCLUSIONS
I concluded that I learnt many things about liming on how to use it properly and the benefits
to our crops.
