Preparation tasks for the spring birthday party are largely not dependent upon each other and

can
be completed in parallel by each respective project manager. However, achieving all tasks that
require time away from the event venue prior to the day of the birthday party (preparation tasks)
is essential so that one or multiple members of the project team is available to accept delivery of
the bounce house as well as decorate the venue. If there is no one available to receive the bounce
house and decorate, then key deliverables (entertainment/decorations) stated in the project scope
will not be completed successfully.

Critical path tasks for the spring birthday party are the procurement of all nonperishable food
items and decorations prior to the party to ensure that the project team has the capacity to
decorate the venue and accept delivery of the bounce house. Additionally, the decoration and
party preparation cannot go proceed without the required supplies (decorations, food,
refreshments).
